OK - some questions: Will the Friday night ****tail party have music and dancing -- any dress "theme" code? What constitutes disco attire? (that was before my time - yea right)! LOL Do we have a hospitality suite for after hour get togethers? Inquiring minds want to know. Nannette

Will the Friday night ****tail party have music and dancing -- any dress "theme" code? Fancy "****tail" attire - as if you were actually IN New York City!!! No dancing - although there will be background music (think Sinatra and Dean Martin!) so yeah- maybe you'll get swept up in a mad passionate embrace or two... What constitutes disco attire? (that was before my time - yea right)! LOL I was born in '65 - I barely remember myself. I'll be watching reruns of Donny & Marie & taking my cues from there...haha Do we have a hospitality suite for after hour get togethers? Perhaps...nuff said! David

Question: I see that the schedule has: 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM Session A - Newbies, Pre-Ops & Newly Post-Ops (up to 12 mo's) Session B - WLS Grads Session I will be 15 months post-op, so I assume that I would attend the "graduate" is that correct? Can you tell me why type of infor will be discussed? Same with the "Woman Talk" (hehe). Can you tell me what the topic (other than the fact of being a woman) will be discussed? Can you tell me who the speakers will be for these sessions? As for the farewell breakfast, will there be anything other than lox and bagels? i would assume so, but would like to double check for planning purposes. I'm thinking of attending, but need to see if I can fit things in. Thanks Jill

I will be 15 months post-op, so I assume that I would attend the "graduate" is that correct? Can you tell me why type of infor will be discussed? Yes and No. YES! You will be considered a "Grad" by January. No to the specific "topic" or topics...Jill Meador, a nurse with the VCU Medical Center is coordinating the topics she will be discussing, but understands she will be facing a group that "thinks we know it all" - she is prepared to take on the challenge - lol. I love and trust her implicitly - in fact, she is one of my favorite people and one that has been through my journey with me every step of the way. Same with the "Woman Talk" (hehe). Can you tell me what the topic (other than the fact of being a woman) will be discussed? No clue. Ladies that were there last Janaury? I was with the guys. I can tell you though they some of the ladies said that hour alone with each other their favorite part of the weekend! As for the farewell breakfast, will there be anything other than lox and bagels? i would assume so, but would like to double check for planning purposes. Of course! ALL of the meals were designed with the WLS patients in mind. I know that not everyone will be able to eat everything with a group like ours, so I do my best to provide food choices that cover a variety of wls stages. I would ask anyone though to make sure you have your own supply of stock on hand in your guest room though in the event that something isnt appropriate for you as an individual. I know I can eat chicken one day and not the next, for example, so I will have a supply of protein drinks with me in my room so I am always covered. Feel free to ask anyone you may know that attended my past events - the food has never been an issue- I know food - I'm thinking of attending, but need to see if I can fit things in. Hope you can join us, if not - keep an eye out for the summer 2007 event - and I think Monica with OH is still looking at a possible November 2007 VA Beach OH Event as well!! David

OK, I'm goin' out on a limb and showing my age, but as far as attire goes for the 70's , for Men - think John Travola, big gold necklaces with open collared shirts (big collars! No buttondowns!), afro haircuts (any wigs, guys?) or long hair-think Paul McCartney (shaped) not Willie Nelson(no pony tails)!, PLATFORM shoes - men and women!, Big lapels on jackets, may******u shirt or two, tie die t-shirts, hawaiian print swim trunks and shirts. Ring-neck t-shirts (solid shirt, colored color and sleeve trim). Women-short, short skirts, platform shoes, jumpsuits (one piece pantsuits), shirts that have a big tie instead of a collar, A-line dresses in calico prints, long long straight hair, white plastic sunglasses , Big hoop plastic or metal earrings in bright colors to match your outfit, white slicker lipstick (no dark colors), leg warmers, white fur caps with pom poms on the ends of the chin ties, ....am I grossing you out yet? Jus****ch Saturday Night Fever! Disco clothes! I am sure there are some other "cool" suggestions! Oldie but Goodie, Karen
