Laurie is having problems with an IV gone bad

Just wanted to update you all on Laurie. She had an IV that was done incorrectly and did not go into her vein but under the skin. So all meds went there. She has had pain and a red streak going up her arm. She emailed me today to let me know that she was instructed to go to the hospital for a test. They told her it is phlembitis(sp). The test will tell if it is on the surface or in the vein. If it is on the surface it just has to run it's course and if not she will be admitted. Please keep Laurie in your thoughts and prayers as she goes through this difficult (scary) time. I will keep you all updated as I find out information. Thanks everyone!! Anna
