Hey Naomi, I want to say WELCOME!!! Although I've already made contact with you via e mail and instant messenger, I had to let you know how great the VA BOARD is. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful. I am sure you will feel right at home very soon. If you are new in the area, I would be more than glad to help you out in anyway I can. Like I told you earlier, we are very close to each other. It would be a pleasure to help you in anyway I possibly can. Now, just sit back and prepare yourself for the "BIGGEST RIDE OF YOUR LIFE" because WLS has a way of putting your life in fast forward. I can't tell you how much this surgery has helped me regain my life. Last year at this time I could barely get around and felt like I was 90 years old. Today I feel energetic and youthful again. All because of WLS. It's a big step and it's normal to be nervous, but like all the rest of us who have gone before you...you will do fine. In a few months you will look back and wonder why you were ever so scared. Prepare now for the surgery. Start taking your vitamins, protein, etc. Drink plenty of water because all of this will aid in your recovery and healing process. It's a good idea to start living the lifestyle as soon as you can. It won't be easy now because you've not had the surgery yet. But force yourself to get in the requirements. You'll be glad once you start healing. Plus you will already be in the habit of taking protein and vitamins. Please contact me if there is anything I can do to help or answer any questions. If I don't know the answer, we will find it together. Lots of Love Kathy
