Open or closed?

Like so many others here have said, I too, went with what my surgeon suggested. I had my surgery in AL while living there. My doctor was a WLS patient himself, had done the surgery on his daughter, his head nurse and others who work for him. I did my homework for months before deciding on my surgeon and I was thrilled with him from the moment I first spoke with him. That being said, my surgeon prefers lap vs open, but he has a pretty tight criteria that patients must meet in order to have lap vs open. I had the lap procedure and couldn't have had much easier recovery time. Best of luck to you hon whichever way you go.
