I have been stuck at same weight!!
Hiya Liz !!
I am going through the same thing that you are. My weight is stalling out. I just saw my WLS doc today for my 6 month check up and he talked to me about this. He said to change up your work out routine...do protein no carbs..like the induction phase for the Adkin's diet and 64oz of water. It is going to get harder now because as he told me, the honeymoon period is over and you are down to the last bit of weight..which for some can be hard to get off.
Good luck. I am in the same boat !!!

Yes i am getting anxious. I am almost six months post op and the weight has come off quickly. i stay very active and can not sit still. I think just my diet needs to change and also my exercise routine. i knew i would slow down at some point. but you know i have a goal weight of 135 and if i only lose 15 out of the 25 then i am happy. i am very happy with what i have lost and don't take it for granted. It is still a struggle to watch what i eat and make sure i don't even buy anything bad and to make sure i stay active. so those comments from people the "easy way" yes you lose weight quickly but it's just like before. you have to watch what you eat every day for the rest of your life to maintain the weight.
thanks
Liz
Liz....
Okay..Why don't you try to do something new with your workout then, like if you power walk, to throw a jog in there at certain intervals..or start to bike ride. Also...watch what you are eatting. Maybe cut out all the carbs for a few days and see what happens.
I am a little frustrated..but i would rather let my body take a break right now so maybe all my hairloss will slow down.
You are excited and anxious about the weight loss. I think that is normal. remember..after 6 months the honeymoon period is over...lol i keep hearing that echo in my head !!!
Good luck,
Dana
Aha. Your surgery date isn't too far from mine then. You should be happy you haven't stalled until now! I stalled just 3 weeks after my surgery. Then, after losing 9 pounds in a week, I stalled for the following 6 weeks.
Amen on the changing your life. I don't bring "bad" food into my home now. I watch EVERYTHING I put in my mouth, too. I have had to change my exercise from walking to hiking and now hiking and trail running. But, that's all good. I am -110, 157 pounds.
You will be the same way, too. Just keep up the diet and exercise that are working for you so well! My goal weight is 130, so maybe we can keep track of each other.
Hang in there, and let us know when you get off that stall!
Lois
