Advice please!

I am considering surgery and was told by my doctor(Elariney) that he thought the band wouldnt work and I could do the Vertical surgery banded with the sleeve..has anyone out there had this particular surgery? success stories I hope. I am concerned that I will have complications and pain after. Do you feel the band? Any info would be much appreciated.
