URGENT PRAYER REQUEST
Hi everyone. I truly believe in the power of prayer so I am asking for your help. My 16 year old nephew was admitted into the pediatric ICU yesterday at MCV (he was transferred from St. Mary's ER) after a CT Scan showed an abnormal mass on his brain. They are talking a tumor...possibly cancer. We will know more today after they read the results of the MRI he had at 11 last night. This all started with a headache for five days and then when he woke up yesterday he had paralysis on his right side. Please keep him (Mark) and all of our family in your prayers. We really need it. Thanks!

Oh my gosh, Tammy, I'm so sorry to read this. He is definitely in my prayers. I had to deal with this issue about 5 years ago, my niece was born with brain cancer, she is actually in med books because of it. It was medullablastomas. It's a terrifying issue. I have lots of info on childhood cancer, hopefully it won't come to it, but if you have any questions, please let me know!!! We're praying for all of you!

Thank you so much, Amber. I will definately let you know if I need any info but hopefully it will not come to that. They will have the MRI results at some point today (we hope) but it might not be until the neurosurgeon gets out of his surgeries scheduled for today and that would be this evening. We appreicate all of the prayers. I knew I could count on my other family!

Tammy,
Thanks so much. I was planning on being there last night and actually was at the hospital for a while before meeting time. I left and went to MCV when the ambulance transported Mark down there. He was taken directly to the peds ICU where he is right now. The prayers are greatly appreciated. I am a firm believer in the power of prayer and I know what this family can do when we set our minds to it. Talk to you soon and I will call if we need anything.

Hi Pat.
Both Tammy G and I go to the Forever Thin meetings at St. Mary's. We meet every Thursday. The first, third and fourth Thursday's of the month are from 6:30-8 and the second Thursday of the month is from 7-8:30. We have an open forum meeting on the 1st then it is out regular monthly meeting on the 2nd then another open forum on the 3rd and then we have a nutritional meeting on the 4th. I am on the steering committee for the group so let me know if you have any questions or if there are any topics you would like to hear about. We meet at St. Mary's Hospital in the educational rooms behind the cafeteria.

Thanks Christine. We really appreciate it. I know God hears all of our prayers.
I have enjoyed reading about your trip to NY and I am glad you have found a new size in Jeans. I currently have no jeans that fit. I am waiting until Sept to buy some so that maybe they will fit for a month or two before I have to buy more!
