Well, I am back and wiped out! The traffic was horrendous so it took me over 9 hours of straight driving to get home! Ugh!! I only made 2 pee stops...no waiting in line for food because those rest stops have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that is not grease filled!! Amazing but I never even realized that...in 4 years of making this trip!! This was actually my first car trip that I didn't snack the whole way! I was carried 400 miles on basically 2 triscuits (and wasn't even bothered by it!) It was cool to see people who haven't seen me since before surgery...lots of "Wow! You lost a lot of weight! You look great!" It felt really good. So I brought about 4 pairs of jeans with me...2 size 22 1 size 18 and 1 size 16. I knew that the 22's and the 18's were a little big but you know how sometimes you don't quite realize how big they really are...you figure that if you keep tightening the belt, it will work...APARENTLY THIS WAS NOT ONE OF THOSE SITUATIONS!! My mom told me I looked like crap in those pants (in a good way!) So, luckily I had some shorts with me that didn't look bad and a pair of yoga pants because as far as jeans go, the only ones my mom would allow me to wear were the 16's! How awesome is that! (And these are 16's from NY & Company...not Lane Bryant!). Oh, and my mom also *****ed at me last night because I'm not eating enough (she's right, but go figure) It's crazy to imagine someone worrying about me not eating enough! That's cool! On Thursday, before I went to NY, my employees had a little b-day celebration for me...I came in and there was a small sheet cake sitting on my desk and it didn't even bother me!! I guess a part of me wanted to stick my finger in the frosting but the rest of me was like...and ruin this??? NO WAY MAN! It is so not worth it!! WOW!! Did I just say that!!??? And by the way...how awesome is it to turn 35 and be at your lowest weight in like 10 years or more!! Who could ask for a better b-day present! Keep the cake! Oh AND, I got a bday gift from the Maryland State Troopers! A speeding ticket!! My first one!! 78 in a 55 and I am sooooo slow that I didn't even think to try to flirt my way out of it! Darn it!! $145!! Have a great evening! Christine 253/212.5/134

Happy Birthday and Im so glad you had a great time in NY. Too bad about that speeding ticket, though! And I so hear you about being 35 and at a weight you haven't seen in a long time. If I am under 192 pounds before next March, I will be in territory I haven't seen in 12 years!

Happy Birthday (late). I just had one on Monday myself. I know the feeling about being at your lowest weight in....???? I can not remember EVER being this small. Careful with that ticket...it is reckless driving since it is more than 20 MPH over the posted limit. You may want to go to driving school BEFORE court and then go to court and show them that you have been and try and get it reduced. GL Tammy

Happy Late Birthday, Christine!!!! I was hoping you'd make it in town to go to my dinner party last night, but oh well! They brought a big old cake too, but of course I turned it down. I wasn't in much of an eating mood yesterday. I did have a few spoonfuls of mashed potatoes, they were good! I'm glad you had such a great time back home and congrats on those pants. It is amazing to be almost 30 pounds light to celebrate 30 years of age!!! I love it. Keep up the good work! Oh, one cool thing that happened was that my co-workers through a party for me on Tuesday (I was feeling soooooooo bad too) because I wasn't coming in yesterday and they bought a whole bunch of sugar free jello, pudding, and carb controlled yogurt. I thought that was so cool that they would do that, and that's all they ate as well. They loved it. Anyway, glad you are back safely! Lets do something soon! Amber

Look at you Chrintine! Just falling out of your pants. It happens so quickly doesn't it. Isn't this surgery magical -- I mean it is just so aweome!! Even for me now, almost a year out, and not losing much at all, it is just the most bestest thing I have ever done for myself!! I got a ticket too, not too long ago, doing about the same as you. I didn't argue, and instead said 'congratulations you're the first one to give me a ticket'!! It was okay, there have been many times I should have gotten one and didn't!! love donna

Wow, what a great trip (not the ticket though LOL). Ya gotta watch them M.D. Troopers. I have heard a lot about them from people driving back and forth down 301. Congrats on all your WOWs! Leigh
