Another quick update...

Well, I was all prepared for my test this afternoon....Last night I took my wonderful "Berry Smoothie" and then again another bottle an hour before my test. Got to radiology and low and behold...someone forgot that I was allegic to iodine. They have to inject iodine in my bloodstream in order for the test to be effective. They forgot to premedicate me. Well, now the test is canceled and will take place on Tuesday but my doctor will be out of town until the 7th of August and I am left with this nasty infection to deal with another week or so. Story of my life... Anyway, I do want to thank you all for your prayers and concern. I really feel the love from you all. I really don't know how I lived without you all before in my previous life. What a wonderful family I have here at the VA OH board and you are all appreciated. I am sorry I have not responded individually to all the posts but I am still feeling really drained and yucky. Can't wait to be get back to the "Mother Clucker" again. Just bear with me and keep me in your prayers. You are all in mine everynight. Hugs, Betsy The Biggest Mother Clucker on the Board....hehe

Hi Stacey...Thanks for the encouragement. It has just been a bad month...being on vacation dealing with this and not feeling my best and for the last 2 weeks I have really been feeling it...Today has been better so I am hoping it will be over soon. At least I have my best friend here with me to help me through the worst parts and he is also a great cook...hehe. Hugs, Betsy

Betsy, Damn sweetie.....I'm sorry. I understand though because I'm allergic to shellfish (iodine) as well. Once I decide to get the "No Blind GI", I might add "No Iodine" on that bracelet I'm planning to get. Anyway, hopefully they've given you some "good stuff" for the pain. Betsy that is really careless of them to forget that you are allergic to iodine!!! I wish they could do something sooner for you to help allevaite some of your symptoms..... Just know we are all thinking about you and supporting you! love, Jackie
