It fit! WOW
Preop my best friend passed on a Landsend shirtdress that I couldn't get over my gut. I wore it to my first postop appt.! I even had a guy in Food Lion call me beautiful!
My Doc says I'm doing great, which is a first!
I had a very good day!
Except for trying puree foods...
It was not the exstatic moment I've been dreaming of...I felt like I'd eaten a rock, and then got sick to my stomach...Oh well! Better luck next time!

PS: does anyone else wake up at night to get a drink? I feel like Cindylou Who! I've been up around 3am every night very, very, very, thirsty! I sip about 1 cup ice water, brush my teeth and go back to bed.
Kate you are doing just fine! I take a large drink to bed with me to make sure I get all my fluids in - but that usually means a trip to the bathroom around 3am...... if you are waking thirsty your body obviously needs more fluids. Go with your instincts. I only ate pureed food for a week or so before I went onto solids - I hated the pureed meat - tasted like dog food to me!
Just remember to eat very slowly to give things time to get down otherwise it does feel like a rock ha**** your pouch.

Hi, Kate
You will get through the pured stuff...just remember to eat it slowly...it's the key.
I am almost a year out and I still wake up in the middle of the night dying of thirst...I never did before surgery. I take a bottle of water with me to bed...cause I'm too lazy to get up.
You are beautiful!!! Keep up the great work and just wait for all of the great things to come your way!
Hugs

Doing great, Kate!
Your body just needs more fluids thats why you are so thirsty. Just sip as much as you can!
Definitely go slow on the pureed foods. Lots of tiny small bites. Chew each bite as if you have to chew it in the first place. The saliva will help digest it and ease it down.
Good luck!
Kathy
Hello Kate,
Yep, sounds like a freakn-FANTASTIC Day!!!!! Man oh' man, I miss all the "WOW" moments that come with this journey, especially during the first year. LOL, sometimes I almost feel a tad bit deflated, when I get on the scales and they are still the same, which makes NO sense!!! I should be deliriously happy that they are the same and not going up, huh?
Congrats on your special moments - there are so many more coming your way!

btw - loved your posting photo, can't help but SMILE when you see it.
