Help finding a meeting.

Hello! I am new to this site. I have been trying for 18 months to get my insurance co. to approve my surgery. I would love to know what local meetings any of you would recommend? I am very discouraged & now I find out my surgeon that I had picked to do my surgery is no longer doing this procedure??? Nicole

Hi Nicole, I had surgery through Norfolk Surgical Group. (Dr Snyder--he is AWESOME!!!) I go to 2 support groups. 1 is on the 1st Tuesday of each month at the Health Education Center at Beach General and the other is on the 4th Thursday of each month. That one used to be at Sentara Leigh but we have a new location starting this month and I am waiting on the email to get the location/directions. I know it is somewhere near Baxter Rd between Independence and Princess Anne. Email me if you want me to send you the details when I get them. Christine

Hi Nicole..... I'm with Dr. Clark at the Weightloss Surgery Center of Hampton Roads over in Hampton. He is AWESOME! Anyways, we have amonthly support group that meets on the 2nd Wednesday (tonight in fact) of each month and we have different topics each month, etc. The meeting starts at 7:00 and lasts about an hour. It's held at the Sentara Careplex in Hampton. I'll be there if you can make it (kinda short notice). Jill 263/166/145

Hi, Nicole. I also live in Va Beach. I go to Dr. Moore with Tidewater Surgical Specialists & Bon Secours Weight Loss Center. They are fantastic! They fight VERY hard for you. I was approved in a few days.
