Self pay question

For those of you who may have had to do self pay...about how much will this cost and what kind of payment plans have you set up? Thanks! Barb

I had my surgery in Brazil on 4/19/06. Total out of pocket expense was approximately $12K for testing, surgery, hospital stay and f/u visits plus 10 days on the beach recovering. I think there are similar prices for surgeries in Mexico, Costa Rica, etc. When I researched self pay in Portland, it was anywhere from 20K - 30 K. Good luck!
