I am two months post op and for the past two weeks i have been hungry. i had not really felt that since the surgery. I am so scared that i will get into bad eating habbits. i have not and i don't even buy crap at the grocrey store but like today i was out all morning long and by 1pm i was so hungry. i almost stopped at a fast food place and thought what the hell am i thinking? i can't do this. so i came home and had some tuna and i am still hungry. I eat fruit to curve that sweet craving and eat yogart as well. The working out thing gets difficult as well. Any suggestions?? thanks, Liz

Hey Liz, I've heard it many times over the years. Do yourself a huge favor, and make sure you ALWAYS have a bottle of water with you. It will curb your appetite and keep you healthy. Make sure to also have a "snack" with you, when you cannot have planned meals as normal. Something easily portable like a wrapped piece of cheese or jerky of some sort can be an instant meal, and easily portable in your purse. Try not to give into temptations, and remember that you NEED to eat on a schedule, to keep your blood sugars regulated and your metabolism functioning at optimum pace at all times. Going too long between meals is detrimental, especially newly post op as you are. Plan ahead, and always be prepared. Around my area there is a 7-11 on every street corner. They sell ready-to-eat hard boiled eggs and cheese in single serving packaging... good in a pinch! Wendy
