Prayers Needed

I am sorry I've been absent from the Boards lately and some of you know why. My youngest daughter has been ill for about 4 months and it has become very serious. After many many doctors and specialists' visits, they believe that she has Wegener's Disease. She is the mother of a brand new baby and is very sick and in a large amount of pain. This disease is an auto-immune disorder that frequently attacks various organs in the body and in her case, the lungs and sinus and maybe even the kidneys. It also can cause rheumatoid arthritis type pain in the joints which she also experiences. She will have a biopsy of her lungs tomorrow and a test of the kidneys next week to determine if it's there as well. After that, her course of treatment will hopefully be decided, but it appears that it will be a form of chemotherapy, but which one will be determined by the kidney tests. I know how wonderful and caring all of you folks are, and many of you are going to offfer to help and I am grateful for that. For now, I would just ask for your healing prayers. Hi Gail You and your family have been in my thoughts. I have missed your smiling face and hope you are holding up as well as possible. Hi Gail, So sorry to hear of your daughters possible diagnosis. Auto-immune diseases can wreak such havoc, pain and disruption in lives, suddenly and without warning, sometimes, that its scary. I pray that your daughter will receive treatment that will allow her to lead a normal life, free from pain, so that she may enjoy her beautiful new babe. A very good friend of mine is inflicted with an auto-immune disease, and I know full well how it can turn a life around. My thoughts and prayers are with you, and your family, especially with your daughter. Wendy
