EGD Friday Afternoon!

Nothing like the great kick-off to what was supposed to be a cool weekend. Busch Gardens is now out for Friday and now my (our) status for Boogie & Splash is a bit up in the air. EGD is scheduled for 1:30 pm. Oh joy. The sooner the better though. Not sure what he'll find but gosh I hope something. I need answers... I've done well with the couple I've had before so hopefully I'll feel up to jumping in the car right after my test and heading down to Richmond. Not sure when we'll get there but I do HOPE to get there. Wish me luck... Kathy (suffering from chest pain and acid reflux after eating anything... and it sucks...)

Hey, Dana! The rib issue is minute now. I think we found it to be rib cartilage (something akin to costochondritis) but down by the 12th rib (floating one). I found I could trigger the pain by pushing on the one rib. Anyway, I was found to be deficient in selenium (children's vitamins have 0 in them) and I have been supplementing so it is possible the deficiency caused the issue but no one truly knows. The chest pains started two weeks ago tonight. I got up and had chest pains. Pretty strong. Went to go to the ER and passed out cold. Spent a couple of days in the hopsital being evaluated and it is not cardiac in origins. My heart seems fine. But I realized the pain comes with eating and along comes acid reflux. Saw my PCP last Thursday and the gastroenterologist today. So... off to an EGD. We'll see what it shows. It HAS to show something. I'm self-diagnosing a gastropericardial fistula but that's just me. Most likely an ulcer though I've been on ulcer meds for 2+ months. Gastro didn't have anything to change me too. I really hope we find something... I need answers... And I'm really truly sick and tired of being sick and tired... Thanks, hon! Hugs back, Kathy
