Blackmarket Nectar Protein

okay, yes, I admit that I do have some stashed away, I just can't run out of that stuff!! But I haven't been able to find it at the Vitamin Shops either, and no I won't drive to where the heck is Rockville!!! But I'm glad you got it Kathy!! I get a panic feeling when I open my last jug. I have some new kind, some carribean cooler, but I haven't figured out what crystal lite to use yet. I bouight some raspberry yesterday, and I think Natalie suggested that, or Shannon. love donna p.s. if I would have known, seriously, I would have brought you some!!

Ah, no on the sister bit, but you're sweet to say that!! But that's one of my very favorite pictures. We just both look so happy and healthy! I got the raspberry at Safeway, it's crystal lite. I had seen the raspberry tea, but this is just raspberry. It's good, but I don't like the Carribean. Too sweet. I always go back to the lemon tea!! Have a good time in FL. Shannon, honey, hi, I do not like the Carribean flavor!! I tried it with raspberry (too sweet), and tried it with orange (yuck). So are you going to Richmond -- if so I'll bring what I have which is minus two scoops and it's all yours!! love donna

Hey Girls..... I was at the Vitamin Shoppe Wednesday in Richmond and they had plenty of Nectar in every flavor available. I am going to pick up some more when I go up to see Dr. Hutcher this coming Thursday. While I was at the store, I purchased a small can of the Vitamin Shop Brand of Vanilla protein powder. It really sucks and it's a good thing they told me I could bring it back if I didn't like it. Who would ever drink that yucky stuff when there's NECTAR available. I do have a question.........y'all know I'm pre-op.....is it okay to do Nectar instead of that God Awful Carnation Instant Breakfast or is it a given that you have to do the CIB the first 2 weeks? Personally, I think the Nectar is way better than the CIB. The nut at my surgeon's office never recommended CIB they recommended the various whey proteins. I SHOULD say here "Ask your surgeon/nut" but I'm not gonna. LOL! The important thing is that you get protein in to aid in healing and keep you fueled and strong. Kathy

Hey Kathy, Commonwealth Surgeons/St. Mary's recommends the CIB for the first 2 weeks. Hey, I didn't argue and just did it, like medicine. I'll tell ya, though... after that 2 weeks was up, I never drank it again! I haven't had too much trouble with protein drinks except taking the time to make them/drink them. That's why I've found that the AchievOne drinks are a God send. I buy them by the case and keep several in the frige. Then, grab one when I'm going out the door in the morning or when I'm looking for a little extra protein. The Profect are also good and I drank them starting 2 weeks post-op. They're especially good because they are so small. I also, have the powder/mix protein and prefer the Nectar and Protein Delight brands. Hugs, Tammy
