It's been awhile...
Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing well. From the posts I have just read, it sounds like there continue to be WOW moments everywhere Well, it has been a while since I've been on the boards, but I figured it was time to get back to it. With everyone having such wonderful Wow moments and all of the great advice going out to pre-ops, I just didn't feel like I had much to contribute.
Ok, enough of the "poor me"
Actually, I'm doing great & feeling great!!! This week I found that I have lost a total of 50 pounds since 2/22/06 which puts me almost halfway to my goal There is also a definate difference in my endurance level. My brother & I went to Busch Gardens and had a blast!!!! We rode the coasters & other rides without having to worry "will it latch?" and I made it the whole day without getting completely exhausted!!! I got out of the habit of going to Curves, but I found a new love...WATER AEROBICS!!! They offer it free for employees here at Virginia Tech & I have been trying to go 4 days a week. Now, I'm trying to throw Curves back in the mix as well.
Here are a few of my little WOW moments from the past month:
- I wrapped a towel around myself when getting out of the shower (it took a few minutes to dawn on me what I had just done)
- I have a collar bone
- My wedding band now falls off my finger (makes hubbie very nervous )
- I can take a bath without having all of the water disappear down the overflow & I can shave without trying to become a contortionist
- I am getting too small for my tote of "too small" clothes I held onto for years
- Finally, when my picture is taken, I no longer cry when I see myself!!!
This surgery has been the best decision I have ever done. I admit, I've been lucky! So far, the biggest complication I have had was getting head aches way back when I had to crush my iron supplements. Although I've eatten to the uncomfortable point from time to time, I have only thrown up once. We were at a conference & I scarffed down crab legs. Even though I knew I should stop, I didn't do it
Ok, that's enough of me! Probably not the prettiest note to leave on, but I can't wait to go through the back posts and catch up on what has been happening.
BTW...how do I change my picture displayed? I saw something about it last month when I stopped in briefly, but I didn't save the directions & now can't find anything on it. Any help is appreciated.
Talk to you all soon!!!

My hubby and I met online, in an AOL chatroom, about 10 years ago, now. Anyway, after we'd been chatting for a few weeks, he asked if I had any photos because he'd love to know who he was chattin' with.
THIS "ostrich" is the one I sent him and we've been together SINCE!
