Hey, folks! I need some advice/suggestions. Week after next, my son is getting married in Las Vegas. I'm going to be their witness at what, I hope, is his ONLY wedding! I got married (the 2nd time) in Vegas many years ago, but for some reason, I don't remember much about the place. So, my question is.......Where should I go, what should I do, etc. for fun???? Any suggestions are welcome! I'll be flying back into Richmond on Friday, just in time to Boogie and Splash! TIA JoAnn

Hey JoAnn, I don't have any suggestions since I've never been to Las Vegas, but I am just posting to wish you a great time. This must be a very exciting time in your life. It's always wonderful to be a part of a wedding celebration. I remember when my son got married........several years ago now. The best part of that is or at least for me was gaining a wonderful daughter....not daughter in law because she's mine in almost every aspect (except giving birth) and my two beautiful grandchildren who I totally adore were a definte added bonus. I hope you have a great time and that in time you can say the samething about your daughter in law as I have said about mine. I love her dearly. She's a good wife and wonderful mother. Lots of Love Safe travels Kathy-23 days & counting

Hey, Kathy! Thanks for your thoughts and well-wishes! It's so hard for me to believe that my "baby" is getting married. I am very fond of his fiance, and I will be an immediate step-grandmother; she is older than my son and she has a son. I have a feeling that they will be having a baby within the next year or so. I truly hope that I will have a relationship like you have with my new daughter-in-law! Your day is almost here! I am so excited for you! It really is am amazing journey that you are getting ready to begin. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do for you. JoAnn

The buffet at the new Wynn hotel is amazing..... even though I couldn't eat much my husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed it (lots of good seafood, in addition to many, many other things - including sugar-free desserts)! We also saw Cirque Du Soleil and Celine Dion's show - both were really amazing! By the time we did all that - we were out of money! Have fun, Crystal

Thanks for the info, Crystal! My son and his new wife are staying at the Wynn; since it is so expensive, I'll be staying across the street at the Frontier. I wish I could see some of the shows, but they're soooooo expensive and I won't be there but two nights. Thanks again! JoAnn

JoAnn- My hubby and I went there for our first anniversary this past March! Where are you staying? We saw the Blue Man Group (great fun!), went on a Gondola ride in the Venitian and went up in the Eiffel Tower at night in the Paris. Other than that we just toured all of the hotels..there is so much to see! The fountains at the Bellagio were great, but the volcano at the Mirage is not that great. We had our best dinner at the Le Artistes Restaurant at the Paris....very yummy, but pricey (and I'm pre-op, so not sure about the value for a post-op). We took a "day" trip out to Hoover Dam...hubby was very interested, I thought it was cool, but it's a dam......only so long I remain interested in that stuff. Not sure what you're really looking for as far as activities, but if you want to email me more specific questions let me know. We don't drink or gamble, so I won't be much help for those types of activities! There is so much to do/see on the strip, you won't have much trouble! Christina S.
