"Celebration Reception" for WLSC in Hampton, VA
Was anyone else invited? It's on the 23rd of June from 7-10 pm. All it said on the invite was "to honor those of you who have lost weight through Weight Loss Surgery". It doesn't really say what kind of shingig it is though. It's in a ballroom, but the lady on the RSVP line said it's not a ball or a dance or anything, and the dress is "sunday best". I don't know what to wear .
I'd be interested to know who else is planning on going.
Um... You can call the Weightloss Surgery Center of Hampton Roads 591-9572 or Sentara for more info.
It's in the Regency Ballroom, at the Holiday inn Hampton Hotel on Mercury Blvd.
When I RSVP'd, they didn't say anything about a fee, so I assume it's free. Try calling 1-800-Sentara, that's the RSVP line, and when someone picks up, just ask them about it, and if you'd be able to come.

I'm going too! I just saw a really cute strappy sundress at Hetch's. I think I'm going to buy it for the reception. My hubby is wearing a pair of navy blue dress pants and a Hawaiian print shirt. hope that helps!
See you there!
PS~~Are you going to the support group meeting this coming Wed.? It's about success stories!
Hey, email me sometime and let me know a little about yourself. I'd love to meet you at the reception.
I think I'm going to wear the same dress I wore for Valentine's Day (picture in profile), either that or the little easter dress I wore for Easter. Take a look at the dress I wore for Valentine's Day and let me know if you think it might be too dressy. I'm just afraid I'll look too overdressed for the occassion. I don't know what "Sunday best" entails anymore, as no one hardly ever dresses up to go to church anymore, so I'm out of ideas.
I never know when or where the support group meetings are. They promised to send me flyers about everything as part of that required $300.00 package I paid for prior to surgery, that I don't think I EVER used... but they LIED! I've never received any flyers or so much as even the WLS Surgery magazine they had mentioned. Oh well.
Anyways, talk to you later!
