Green Tea
Kat,
I have done lots of reading/research on herbal things such as green tea that have antioxidant properties. My daughter has a rare autoimmune disease called Vitiligo. Vitamin and supplemental treatment call for antioxidants such as extra C and green tea, etc.... You can get capsules to take, which for her is easier. I try to drink it often. I am very into holistic/herbal medicine. Our society lacks the entire concept of herbal remedies and other forms of medicine and therapy to enhance modern day medicine. Whenever we do something that we feel is helping ourselves or our condition it empowers us, in my opinion.

Kat-
Before I started my WLS journey I saw a nutr. that said I should try to drink Green Tea (as in instead of sodas, when I get bored with water, etc.). She said that it's great for "flushing things out", has all those great antioxidants and I don't think it has many calories, if any (none?!).
I tried it for awhile and found I liked the citrus flavored Green Teas...of course, I think they had more natural sugars....my weakness of the sweet!
Sorry I can't help more!

Hey Kat!
How are ya!? You should try Arizona Diet Green Tea something like that...it is yummy ****d tea...comes in a premixed bottles or little "crystal light type canisters! Green tea has lots of antioxidents and it is good for your metabolism...I went to a nut once who said that for every cup of green tea you drink, you burn (some number that I can't remember but not huge or anything) calories. My theory is: if it burns 1 calorie, it's doing good! The flavor is usually a bit more subtle than regular tea.
Hope that helps!
