Update on Jon Dennis
Hi, All - thanks from both Jon and I for all the notes...it really touched him that you all took the time to e-mail him. I have printed everything out for him.
We got home on Wednesday evening (a week ago today) got our company on Thursday morning...a crazy week-end...Took Jon to the orthopaedic surgeon at Inova Fair Oaks on Tuesday morning - ended up being there until 2:30pm....He got his cast off...we have copies of the x-rays...they are really cool the way they wired his elbow back together. I will try to figure out how to post the pictures...I don't know if they can be - but if I can I will get them on his profile. Jon was upset because the doctor wouldn't take the stitches out...they have to stay in for atleast another week.
We are still waiting on the insurance people for the motorcycle - but by what they are telling us - it will more than likely be totaled...in a way that's okay - because the doctor says no riding for Jon for 6-12 weeks.
Anyway - thanks again for all your prayers and support!
Hugs!
Jill and Jon
Hey Jill,
So good to see you back on the board. I know you are glad to be back home and have things somewhat back to normal. Tell Jon that he is in my prayers. You are too because it isn't easy tending to a man when he's off his feet. They are worst than a kid. Did I say ten times worst? LOL My hubby broke his foot a while back so I know first hand. My son did some jumping on a dirt bike and lost control in mid-air and crushed all the bones on the top of his foot. He has gone through two surgeries and he still limps. Needless to say the dirt bike has been replace with a family boat.
You take care of yourself too. Love & prayers are with you both.
Lots of Love
Kathy-25 days & counting til surgery
Kathy - congratulations on your date!!! I will definitely be praying for you!!!
Last year on June 8 my then-20 year old son ran into the back of a van with his motorcycle and crushed his leg. He has to rods from the knee down and eight pins holding everything together. He is doing much better, but still limps occaisionaly.
Jon is doing better. He can't wait to get the stitches out. There is still alot of swelling and brusing. I am goint to try to get some pictures onto his profile next week.
Again, thanks for the prayers!
Jill
Thanks Christine!
I have a feeling Jon will be healed before his bike. It looks as if the bike is probably going to be totaled...the good news is - he will be able to get a brand new one and I think if he is nice to me I will let him ride my other other one when he is able!
Have a great week-end!!!...and congratulations on being a loser!!!
Hugs
