Hey girl, I totally forgot to ask you the status of your plastics and hernia repair surgeries? Any clue as to what is going on or if you have a date yet? I saw Dr. Martin today and within the next three weeks we will be doing a revision. Don't know whether to be happy or sad. I dread starting over from scratch but I'm sick of throwing up all the time too. Lori

Hey Lori, This is Kathy from support group. I am sorry to hear that you are going to have to have the revision. I know that's something you didn't want to have done. I will keep you in my prayers that this will fix you and stop the throwing up all the time. You are so tiny now.....I just can't imagine you lossing anymore weight. Natalie can give you an update on her surgery, but I do know it was denied and I don't know if it's in appeal now or if it's over for now. Seems they would have to fix the hernia. I have become so sick of dealing with insurance companies. It's nothing but a constant fight. Lori, email me your home e mail address so I can stay in touch with you. Hey, Lori! Sorry to hear about your revision but I hope that you get the relief that you need. It's been a while but I do remember that you were having problems. I hope that things go great for you! I see on your profile that you had your spleen removed during surgery. Was that due to ITP? My hubby had low-normal platelets prior to WLS and then have been dropping ever since (not WLS related). We just found out he has an enlarged spleen. He sees the hematologist tomorrow. He had an ultrasound which showed it enlarged and he had a CT scan last Friday. We already know that shows it enlarged too (PCP called about it after they got the report). Was that your problem? Enlarged spleen that caused ITP? Appreciate anything you can share!
