I made cookies....AND SURVIVED!!!

My 2 yr old loves to help cook and I hate cooking, so I thought, as a treat, I'd make her some real cookies and let her help. She was so sweet. She put on both the oven mitts, handed me the cookie sheet, helped stir the dough, and then held the oven door open for me to put them in. I made Duncan Hines Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies. The looked scrumptious and smelled heavenly. Now, before surgery, I could have eaten the entire package in no time flat. This time, I dipped a finger in for a light taste, ate a peanut butter chip, and that was it. I grabbed a piece of cheese to get the sweet taste out of my mouth as it was calling me! After they were done, my toddler opened the oven for me to get t hem out (with her mitts on), then hung her mitts back where they go (she's so smart and helpful). I gave her the first cookie, then between her and my husband, they ate all of them but 2. Every time I walked past the kitchen, they called my name, but I hurried to get more water or a piece of cheese before my hands could grab one up. LOL, I made cookies and survived. Hugs to all, Tonya

Way to go Tonya.......... I have really stayed away from making things like this, but this weekend I made a White Chocolate and Rasberry Mousse. It was TO DIE FOR!!!!!!!! Except for the rasberies, it was sugar free, and I think because of the whipped cream in it, I was able to tolerate it. Normally, I can't tolerate pudding. Seems to be too thick in texture. Any-hoo......... GREAT JOB!!!! Jill 263/173/145

Hey Tonya, What an adorable story. I don't think I would ever be brave enough to bake cookies but I do understand you doing it for your little darlin'. I would do almost anything for my babies (back when they were babies). Mine are all grown now. Ages 31-29-22. At any rate I do you for your bravery. I would only hope that my will power will be so strong when that day comes for me. Again, I have to say what a beautiful transformation you have made. You are GORGEOUS!!!! But I am sure your hubby is busy telling you that all the time. Lots of Love Kathy-26 days & counting
