OT: Bad things come in threes! *sigh*

Okay, you know how they say bad things come in threes? Well, here goes: 1. This weekend, our network was hacked into but we didn't realize until this morning the extent of what was done. Someone had gained access to a few of my accounts, including my ebay account and was using it to list fraudulent items, things that would be paid for, but never shipped. My ebay account is linked to my Paypal, which is linked to our bank account. Luckily, we caught it in time (amazingly, while they were in the process of posting all these items) and were able to stop them before they did any real damage. It took two hours of being on the phone and online to get all our account passwords changed, all our credit cards cancelled and reissued, and securing our bank account so that no one not even us could access it without coming into the bank with a picture ID. Needless to say, we were very stressed over this, but we are sure we caught it before any damage was done. 2. This weekend, I bought some new shorts (size 20!) that were a darkish /greenish brown with a suede feel to them. I was painting my fingernails today (yeah, me doing nail polish) and spilled the bottle of polish onto my shorts. Now, it won't come out. Ruined a beautiful pair of brand new shorts. 3. I started an online course for Medical transcription and finished all of it but the last three exams. We moved to a bigger apartment and it fell to the wayside. I was just talking about how it's almost paid off and I need to finish those last three exams to get my certificate, when I get a letter in the mail that the 2 yr contract for the study course has expired and for me to fini**** I have to pay another $75 in the next 30 days. *sigh* Can someone just shoot me now and put me out of my misery? Just a warning to you all about the hacking though. My husband and I have instituted a new policy that anything that is forwarded with or without an attachment that's not directly from someone we know, is automatically deleted. With love, Tonya

HEY Tonya, I've been meaning to write you ever since I saw some recent photos of you from this weekend! Wow girl, you are doing great. You don't even look like Tonya anymore - but more like TONYA!! Really awesome Tonya. Now, let me ask you, didn't you guys have some sort of identify theft or something last year?? Seems I remember something like that for you, but I may be wrong. Tonya, At least the three have happened...I hate it when two bad things happen all at once and you're stuck waiting...knowing it's coming. I'm really glad you got all of your financials done without having any long lasting damage done. I had my purse stolen years ago and of course my social security card was in it so I still fear identity theft and have to review my credit report all the time. It really sucks! Liz

Exactly why I refuse to use Paypal. I did have it once when they first started it up, using my credit card. Then they went to the "gotta' have your checking account number" policy I said "NO WAY". Hope all that is finally settled for you. What a huge hassle! Lois

Tonya, Your new picture is awesome! I did not even recognize you and had to look twice at the name! Sorry about your bad luck but at least it is over now. All three have come. I have some size 20 capri's that are too big for me now if you are interested. Let me know. I do not think I have any shorts though. Tammy

Thanks Tammy. But I don't like capris. I have big thighs and small ankles so I look very, very top heavy in them. I appreciate it though. Hugs, Tonya
