I have some news to share! My hubby and I are expecting! Wasn't exactly planned for right now...so it is a good thing that I am almost at goal. I have lost almost 100 lbs, and barely qualified to have the surgery. Hopefully, I will be able to get support and well wishes instead of flaming. Lots to do in the coming months, as hubby is deployed and I have to find us a place to move and pack, etc. Lots to do. Anyway, that is the news of the day! Stephanie

Hi Stephanie, CONGRATULATIONS on your pregnancy news! NO flaming here. Everything happens for a reason and is a blessing. We started TTC (trying to conceive) our 2nd daughter at 16/17 months post op. We got preggers quickly and she is now 13 months and we are both doing wonderfully. If you have a chance read my profile for preggers goodies. There is also the post-op pregnancy forum here on OH that was very beneficial to me as well. Feel free to email me if you have questions or want to chat. Again, congrats! Kat

No flaming at all here. Congrats! It's always wonderful to hear that someone who wants a child is expecting. There are some who think getting pregnant after going through so much to lose weight is blasphemy, but the rest of us know that it's less risky to have a baby after you lose the weight. I was a very high risk during my pregnancy. High blood pressure, diabetes, etc. My baby was monitored every two days until she was born. Two months early, I might add and at only 4lbs 10 oz. Everything is normal now in both of us and really wish I'd had this surgery first, then her, but things happened as God intended. Congrats again and just ignore any flamers. It's hard to see someone else's side of the story sometimes, especially past the end of your own nose if it's held too high. Hugs, Tonya

Dear Stephanie...that is wonderful news! My daughter is also pregnant and she is only 2 years out. Life is a wonderful thing and nothing to get flamed about. Having a baby is the most wonderful blessing that we recieve. Now, at my age, if I were to get preggers....I would have to shoot someone...hehe. I am too busy with my grandbabies...Just stay healthy and I know you will. When is your husband leaving? Will he be home in time for the baby? Hugs, Betsy

Hi Betsy! Hubby is already gone. He left at the beginning of May. I did not even want to tell him at first because it was so early...but I figured since he was going to be gone I needed to. I surprised him on April 16...the day before his birthday and told him. I always know really early. He will be back in November...just in time. The baby is due 12/30....but I have yet to make it to 40 weeks. I probably just jinxed myself...LOL Love, Stephanie
