Sooooooooooooo, how was YOUR weekend?
Hello girlfriend ......and Happy Birthday to you!!!!
As far as the energy goes? Trust me, it comes and GOES, in a flash! I think the reason Im so busy on the weekends is I tend to be a SLUG during the week - so in reality, it's not that impressive? Oh, and for the record, you KNOW you are (and have always been) invited to join in on any and all activities. It's been way to long since we've gotten together, I think it was dinner with you and our men?
Hey?? Whatever happened to "trying to go out dancing this month" to bring in both our Birthdays? Hmmmmm? ...um, if I remember correctly, that was your idea (great idea, btw) but it hasn't materialized yet, what's da' deal?
Glad to hear you had such a wonderful THREE day Celebration! LOL, love that 'entire weekend' idea, methinks I'll have to try it on Paul. Lotta good that'll do me though, he's always under water during my Birthdays. It's like a built in "saving grace" he never has to worry about remembering or forgetting cause he's never home.
Hugs - Lei
Glad you had a good trip to the fun zones!! Wondering where you had disappeared to...didn't see your nome de plume on the boards!...I've been 'yakking and biking...so what else is new?...huh? One saturday was an 18 mile trip down into carolina and lake drummond on the dismal swamp canal and last saturday was a 75 mile bike ride out into the country with about 1500 other bikes...cycles...as in pedaled...what a hoot! I was riding in the first 100 of the pack for about 15 miles...on a bike that was older than most of the riders were in actual age...never underestimate an old hippie...I had fun playing with thier mids...who needs carbon fiber...give me american steel and lots of protein bars and logan bread!!
Sunday was mudders day for the wife and Rachels 16th b'day! so I was busy for that. But other than that is was the normal day for me...busy...busy...busy!!
When we going kayakking?...
G'morning Track!!
Mr-Road-Warrior himself, good grief, 75 MILES on a tenspeed bike?!?!?! You are so making me look bad. Paul and I took the bikes up to First Landing last week and put 16 miles on 'em and I was absolutely WHOOPED!!!!
I feel like a pansy-butt after reading your updates, thanks friend!
I'll join you on the waters (kayaking) when the temps get warmer - sheeez, it's absolutely predicatable that I WILL tip over and I'd like my first splash be slightly above FRIGID, ya know? Do you have to weara wet suit year round? No shock here, I'm sure, but I don't own one.
Paul and I are going sailing this Saturday but at least the boat is high enough that waves don't/won't lap over the sides!
Glad to hear you had a great weekend and Dreda had a wonderful Momma's Day!
Hugs - Lei
Hey Hot Mama!!
Happy Anniversary!! Sounds like you had an AWESOME weekend. Mine was, ehhh, running like a psycho getting things together for my big day, working, ya know, same ole! Friday night I was working the Verizon booth at the Gretchen Wilson concert. That was cool except I had to be at work at 8am to do interviews...yuck! Saturday, interviews and cleaning. Sunday, church, attempted to go back to work the booth for the Brooks and Dunn concert but our booth got cancelled...they forgot to tell us! Good thing though...there was no way I was gonna stand out in the rain and risk getting sick 3 weeks before my big day!! Soo...not half as much fun as BG, KD, BG! I'n jealous! Anyway, I tried to look at the pics but the link doesn't work any more...please fix it! I wanna see...wwwaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!
Love ya! Miss ya!
Christine
Hello Beeeeee'yootiful!!!!!
Yah yah, so Im late in responding!!! Sorry about that - was on the road at 8:00 yesterday morning - spent the next 6 hours at the Portsmouth Hospital, tests, more tests, then visited with Trish for a bit (an update to follow on that). Then off to a baseball doubleheader last night.
I'm heading OUT the door again (more doctor visits, ugh) so this will be kinda quick, but wanted to yap atcha for a bit.
So how are your nerves coming along? How are the "Things to Do Before Surgery" list coming along? IS your mom flying in for your surgery?
Man, I'm so jealous, I can't believe you were at the Gretchen / Brooks and Dunn event (ahem, and didn't invite ME!). I'm not a "Country" friend by FIRST choice, prefer my HipHop, BUT, I do like Country as a close second! I saw Clint Black and Garth Brooks in seperate concerts, several times, and JUST shamelessely DROOLED!
Hey? I don't know why the link for the photos didnt work for you, could b that too many people were trying to access it? Try it again, I show it's STILL an active link!
Love and hugs - Lei
WOW! Sounds like you had a GREAT weekend!
Lemme see, we went camping up at Natural Bridge. It was wonderful. The weather was PERFECT! Went hiking all over the place up there and just had alot of fun.
Sunday, I had dinner with my sisters and their families.
That's about it. Quiet, but full of fun!
Hey.....we need to get together and do BG or even lunch (I'm off next Friday, 5/26).

G'morning JILL!!!!
Sorry I'm so late in responding --- been on the go (way too much) and it wasnt even FUN stuff (well, cept the part where I got to visit Trish in the hospital) ...but Im here for a quick breather, before I run out the door AGAIN for a 7:45 doctors appointment.
Sounds like you and the family had a great weekend -- Ive heard a lot of wonderful things about "NATURAL BRIDGE" and Paul and I tried to go there last year, but life got in the way. I hope we get out there before they ship us out, I hear it's a "must do" while in Viriginia.
YEP - let's plan something for next Friday! I'll be a deployment widow again, so I'll be more then happy to BUG ya' for an entire day, regardless of what we end up doing!
Hugs - Lei (oh my my, 178, huh? You go GIRL!!!)
