Sooooooooooooo, how was YOUR weekend?
Hello Cathy ~
I was going to ask YOU and Kathy(&Rich) if any of you were able to make it to the OH conference this weekend. I'm glad to see you did and that you had a good time. I'll be sure to keep those doctors names in mind, were they gastric surgeons, plastic surgeons, or....?
...I actually live about 2 miles from one of the Steinmarts and have been known to lose a few hours and dollars in that store. I love a good bargain that comes with quality and Steinmart delivers both. If you're ever in town and want to get a Stein's fix, hollar at me, I can be there in 5 minutes!
I'm glad you had such a wonderful Mothers Day weekend, it's much deserved.
Hugs ~ Lei
Thank you sweet stuff and YES, we really did have a great time.
Its one of those long weekends that you just wish could go on forever. Then your body starts to remind you just how much you've already done, how tired you really are, how bruised you're gonna be in the morning, but regardless, you STILL HAVE A SILLY GRIN ON YOUR FACE!
Hugs - Lei
Hi, Lei!
I have missed you guys soooo much! I'm jealous...Nat's boot is shorter than mine! I want a short one!
Anyway - I didn't do much this week-end but sit in the recliner with my foot up in the air. I did get A LOT of scrapbooking done!
Friday I had my television interview for ABC. That was interesting and fun. The details are on my profile...
My youngest daughter made me a really nice scrapbook, my youngest son made me two cards and helped me to start organizing the basement Saturday morning, and my middle son brought me a card, pink roses and told me he was going to give us his old tv (it's only 1 year old) and his entertainmnent center (only 1 year old) because he just got a plasma tv. He hates our old rinkydink tv....then he took us out to Olive Garden. I had the parmesan tilapia. It was to die for!
Hugs Lei! I miss all of you!!!
Jill
Hello Jill!!!
Just finished playing catchup with your profile updates. Oh my my, 138 lbs?!?! That is freakn awesome, woman!!! I thought you were already PERFECT and at GOAL when I saw you in January. I can't imagine another 17 pounds gone - you're gonna be a lil itty bitty wisp of fluff and blow away on us, pretty lady!!!
Congratulations on the gift certificate and the "organize-u" gift bag, talk about two wonderful prizes for two equally wonderful people.
Hey? That's AWESOME news about the filming for your doctor, with Fox/ABC! How freakn cool is that???? Will you be able to get a copy of the fiming? Maybe an mpg file (movie clip) that you can share with us? I have a feeling that what we get here in VaBeach on FOX is not the same as you get and I'd love to see your interview!! CONGRATS on being asked by your surgeon that's quite an honor, but then again, your a very successful story that needs to be shared with many!
Hugs - Lei
Pssssst.... we miss you TOO!!
Ohhh, you asked, so I shall tell you Mine was not as great as all of the running around you did, I sure wished I COULD this weekend but it was not gonna happen. I went bowling Friday night, our last night of league bowling, which we HAD to show up to. Well, I screwed up my back a couple days before, which affected my left arm and neck...but not the right. So I thought I would be OK to bowl. WRONG. I woke up the next am in such pain that our girl scout mothers day breakfast was hell to drive to. I went though with it (Daughter was counting on me) but on the way home I broke down and was crying. When I got home, I asked hubby to call my mommy (Moms always make it better, right??) and she hooked me up with 5 or 6 percocets and some Alieve (I know I shouldnt take those, but when I was in as much pain as I was, you will do anything!!) I spent the rest of the day in bed with my 4 yr old thinking it was mothers day on Saturday trying to take care of me. My 10 yr old actually did take care of me, and that was nice to feel loved
Sunday brought some relief, although I did spend most of the day on the couch trying to relax my back and neck, so I could go to work this AM. So, I brought my mom some breakfast and starbucks, flowers and a sunday newspaper, and spent a few hours at her house. Other than that I was on the couch watching movies the entire day. It was a nice mothers day all around...I got flowers and cards and food
The pics are great!! Wish I was there for the dancing and whatnot, but there was no way with my back giving me problems. So, I guess I was in my own little world this weekend....didnt know of all the fun I missed!!
Sorry this is so late, but on top of all my other woes, our computer crashed....so I am at the mercy for the next week of on and off again access.....darn.......
Dianna
G'morning Dianna -
I'm sorry to hear about the back pain, yikes, I can see why bowling would make it that much worse too! I'm terrible at it, but love to fake it a time or two and normally my shoulders, arm and lower back is screaming the next day. Yah yah, so my age has something to do with it too, hush! lol
Hey? I didn't realize you and Cleve were league bowlers! So is Keoni, he absolutely loves bowling, been doing it since itty bitty - I really wish he'd actually tried to turn it into a "cash flow" of some sort. He's pretty good, even if Im his momma and biased... He's got TWO perfect 300 games under his belt, and 1 or 2 that were within a pin or two of it - all before he was 23! Yep, he shoulda pursued the business side of throwing strikes, methinks?
Make sure you take care of YOU, enjoy some DOWN time relaxing on that couch - you have enough kiddies and a hubby to help around the house!
Snap them fingers or ring that bell, get 'em Step'n & Fetch'n, for you!
Hugs - Lei
Hello Holly!
I enjoyed our time together too - it's a shame it was for such a short amount of time!
Paul and I were absolutely shocked to see you three passing us on the Freeway after we left. We thought for sure you guys would stay most of the afternoon since you got there so late. I hope ya'll had fun, although from the sounds of it, you only managed to get in ONE ride? Granted, it's THE best ride in the park, the Volcano (the fear factor on that one is off the charts). I'm SO glad Paul and I got there EARLY (9:30) or we wouldnt have gotten in as many rides as we did - that park started to fill up fast and the lines were getting outta' control.
Anyway - glad you liked the pictures. I took quite a few more (lol, as you know) but didn't post them all. Figure if the picture looks bad/funky (eyes closed, mouth open, distortion, etc) that no one is gonna want it posted for all to view, so those got deleted.
Can't wait to see yours - hugs, Lei
WOW! sounds like you had an awesome weekend!!! I have never met anyone like you... on the go all the time. I wish I had that kind of energy.
My weekend was good. Today is my b-day so I pre-warned Shawn and told him I celebrate for a WEEKEND... not just the day. We went to dinner to PF Changs & he have me a few of my b-day gifts at the beginning of the weeknd, a few more gifts the following day ... and it ended tonight with dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. For those of you have never been there, they have cheesecake made with SPLENDA... I had a few bites and brought the rest home to eat later...
We went to church yesterday and I did a little retail therapy at Cato and bought some REALLY cute clothes. Unfortunately none were on sale but it was my b-day present to myself so what the heck...
Hugs!
