Insurance Denial

Hey Eboni, I too have HighMark BC/BS and they have me jumping through every hoop they can find. I started out with one doctor.......they submitted the wrong procedure code, not once but twice and of course I got denied twice. I then changed doctors. Found out that I had to do the 6 month diet and finished with that on April 26. My paperwork has been submitted since the 27th and been denied twice....Appealed twice and is now in what they call a peer to peer review.......this is where my doctor meets their doctor and they discuss my case.....so I am still waiting. This has been going on since last July. I feel your frustrations............my prayers are with you hon. Lots of Love Kathy

Insurance reps I've noticed are usually very nice it's the decision makers who are butt heads! I know it's frustrating...it's like the military, hurry up and wait. At least it looks like there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Best of luck! Liz
