Inner demons gone !!!

You know all those throaty groans and moans that some WLS patients get after eating or drinking that last forever? Not quite a burp but more that rumble? The ones that make you want to hide under a chair because they are so loud and unexpected on making their presentation? Mine were horrible !! All my family and friends would ask me if I was okay as they quickly scurried away and ran for cover. They acted like I was going to blow at any second... Well, and most the time I was, who am I kidding... I use to tell them to be afraid..be very afraid..because my inner demons were trying their damndest to get out !!!! Thats how I laughed up those nonstop noises. Well, they are gone !!!! The EDG excised them !!!! I can eat and have NO NOISES afterwards !!!!!!! Yeah !!!!!! No more inner demons !!!! Seriously though...I thought I was going to be stuck with those noises as a side effect from surgery forever and wasn't even expecting the EDG to make a difference in them...but they are gone !! Dana, Well good for you! I can't say the same though. Mine makes all kinds of noises and are constantly trying to voice their opinions. Not sure why, but its louder on some occasions than others. Its funny how you named them though. I remember being at the Hopewell support group meeting and we got on this very topic. Nat said her's does the same thing and she calls her's "Chewy", as in Chewbaca from Star Wars! She is just too damn funny!!! Glad everything went okay with the EDG. Take care. Keith

Well Dana .. good for you .. I sit here 2 years out and still splaining to folks that yes .. and alien lives amongst my innerds ... I still rumble and mumble .. My new beau , Alan got to witness this first hand one night .. we are watching TV and all of a sudden Lucile decides to talk to him .. He stood up and said .. Good God what was that .. I had to explain to him that she talks .. We laughed all night about it .. I still do it .. and will probably always do it .. I am used to it .. I have had her act up in Church, doctors office .. DMV .. and man do I get stares .. But who cares .. Lucile has much to say ! I am glad your inner demons are gone .. but do not be suprised if they come back .. Love ya .. Natalie

Hi Dana, Well, like Nat said don't be surprised if the sounds come back...when Nat and I were at her house after the beach, we let Lucile and Mabel have their own conversations....it was funny...just one of the bonuses of being "tiny pouch people"...Love ya bunches, Hugs, Betsy
