I am always stumped as to what to make for lunch or dinner...do you have any good recipes that you want to share with the rest of us? It may be helpful to us newly post-op if we knew what is the serving size and protein values are! Thanks alot, Amy

I really don't cook anything. Occasionally I'll fix bacon or other meat. I eat very simple things like beef jerky-type products, cottage cheese, fat free plain yogurt, small salads, peanut butter on WASA crispbread, my chili with cheddar on top, a nice slice of Vermont cheddar or Asiago. Very occasionally luncheon meats or eggs, smoked almonds, pecans, unsalted peaanuts in the shell. I did post a tuna pate' recipe over on the recipe forum. YUM. My food choices are very limited and i still have to be careful not to go over 900 cal per day. I use lots of protein supplements, drinks and bars, even pudding. Good luck, Lois

Hi Amy....I have a real problem with fixing things as I live alone....I am bad for just opening a can of soup or turkey chili. I love to go to Wendy's and get chili or a salad. It is hard when there is only one...Good luck Hugs, Betsy

Amy, I've adapted many foods for post-op eating, HOWEVER, my best advice is to goggle "WLS recipes" and you'll get LOTS of hits. Many include nutritional information and are broken down by meal/food categories. Good luck! Tammy

...hello Amy, and here ya go! http://bariatricbytes.com/recipes.html This is by far one of the BEST compilation of 'healthy/free' recipes out there. Ruth (Dame Tooter) has actually created and MADE all of these and Ive read where other members rant about 'em. I hate to cook and do it cause I have to. That being the case, I don't have a lot of personal recipes to share (most of it is stored in my head, ya know?) but I do have a few linked on my profile. I can honestly say the ones Ive listed, I have MADE and my tastebuds enjoyed it. Have a great weekend - Lei
