Anyone use Dr Stegemann?

Hi! I'm hoping to have WLS this fall and would like to share experiences. What surgery you had or hope to have.

I am hoping to have VGS sometime around the end of September or early October.  I went for a consultation with Dr. David Syns in Lubbock, TX.  I really liked him and I am set for some preliminary testing on August 15 & 16 to meet my insurance requirements. 

Have you met with a surgeon yet? Which surgery are you thinking about?

 

Hi Sara! I don't get to meet my surgeon until my 1st appointment 10/3. I've been bummed that I have to wait that long but from what I'm finding out this process requires patience and hard work I'm not sure which surgery I want, sleeve or bypass. I go back and forth. One thing I know, I don't want the band.
What made you decide on the sleeve?

Hi! I had a gastric Bypass 1/2006. If I was choosing today, I'd get a sleeve so wouldn't have to worry about malabsorption of nutrients. Your surgeon should be ale to help you choose the right surgery for you. They weren't doing the sleeve at the time I had my surgery that I Know of.
