Weekend WLX - All Aboard!

Since I have to go give the taxpayers their money's worth, , might as well start a weekend train.  Needless to say both Jan and I are working today.  Rumors are flying about what is going to happen with regards to which facility the Texas Juvenile Justice Department is going to close.  The Board of Director's vote on it has been postponed till next month.  Fingers crossed they leave Corsicana open.

Happy SATURDAY morning, DON, and all! I've been awake a few hours, but still have not gotten around to being "productive" yet..almost..almost...been catching up a week's worth of emails..apparently some glitch in my FB account was causing emails to freeze and/or bounce...never had THAT happen before...me and technology--not a good mix!!

Going to spend at least a few hours at work today "volunteering"..meaning we don't get paid. I have a key, so can come and go, on weekends, as I please, buy only a couple of us have keys, and the other teachers don't have the opportunity to decorate their rooms, without the munchins being there. I need to go show my "team" spirit, and since I'm a solo teacher, I DO need help hanging some of the big stuff..and I don't want anyone "borrowing" my stuff..Daycare if a cut-throat world, people :)

All about the same in Gina-land...Was hoping to have something new and exciting to report to y'all...but nothing on the horizon, that I'm aware of...I DID get older during this past week...but THAT is sure nothing NEW...and not particularly EXCITING...though my usually non-intuitive mom got me 2 great gifts:

Other than work, no real weekend plans...Maybe..SLEEP ?!?!?!?

Good morning! I got up about 6 and have checked emails, ordered birthday and baby shower gifts, stripped y bed, washed and dried sheets and made it back up again, been to Walmart and unloaded. Now it is time to fold a load of towels and then build fence for a couple of hours. We made great progress yesterday and have another side ready to put up runners and the pickets so it shouldn't take long. Is cloudy, so shouldn't be too hot. We did pist holes, built the back gate and hungit and repaired the cold water line that Ben hit with the post hole diggers yesterday. I forgot that was where the cold water Lne got re-routed years ago when the pipe leaked in the slab. Oops! Couldn't get hold of the plumber, but it was a $10 fix that was easy for Ben to do. We just were withou****er for about 5 hours. At is not good when you are out working in dirt and it's 100 degrees. We were pretty nasty.

We made it to Shreveport last night. Did good on roulette this morning so I am currently up, hope I can say the same when we leave tomorrow.

We have reservation at the steak house tonight, little on the pricey side which most al la carte places are but SIL has a 150.00 coupon so between the three of us that will take a big chunk off the tab.

Time to hit the slots!
