True Results in Houston?
Hi- I thought I'd reply because I'm from the area and was curious about them too. Hope this helps ... http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/lapband/4176715/Anyones-ex perience-with-True-Results/
Can I ask, is your insurance covering you?
I hope you have researched all 4 weight loss surgeries and have chosen the best one for you. A lot of surgeons no longer perform lap-band surgery. I would consult with several surgeons in the area before making your decision.
Best wishes on your journey!!

Hi and welcome to the fabulous Texas forum. I had lap band performed close to 9 years ago. I quickly went from 235 to 170 pounds. My weight settled in at 180. For the past three years I have had serious health problems. The latest was a stay at the hospital for a week for pneumonia. What happened was my esophagus muscles wore out from the constant pushing of food through the band. My muscles were so worn out that acid reflux would end up in my lungs every morning...and I have slept sitting up for at least 2 years! In the hospital no other doctors would touch me because they did not actually perform the surgery and my Doctor had left the country to be closer to his family and to head up a hospital. It was crazy. I had no information about what type of band, the size of the band, the date I had it put in etc...My advice to you is DO NOT GET A LAP BAND! Most people who have one have either had it removed and gained all of their weight back plus some or have had a revision surgery. I am having surgery this Wednesday to a Gastric sleeve. I also want to emphasize using a weight loss program that you know will be around for years to come. I wish you the best in your search...your life will be very different...in a good way!
