FRIDAY GRATEFUL POST

Good Friday AM everyone,

We ALL have so very many things in our lives to be grateful everyday whether the only thing that we have to be grateful for today is opening our eyes to a beautiful day.     I am so grateful for everyday that God allows me to remain on this earth.   Today I am grateful for all 3 of my sons but in particular my middle son.    He is 27 yrs. old and he is a recoverying heron addict.   He has been clean for 18 months now.   I am so very proud of all the things that he has overcome in his life and the things that he still deals with on a daily basis due to decisions he made when he was younger by choosing a life of drug addiction.    Grateful that he finally realizes that I truly DO get what addiction is all about no matter what your addiction is.   Just because WE are food addicts doesn't mean that we don't get what other addictions are about.   Addictions is addictions and they ALL are pretty much the same....that is as far as one understanding what it's all about.  I am SO VERY PROUD of him today and all the obsticles that he still faces.    Grateful for the upcoming weekend and for my support group meeting this coming sunday.    Have a blessed weekend.
