Weekend WLS Express

Good morning. I have a busy weekend ahead. Enjoying some down time right now. We have a wedding shower / party tonight for 100+ folks at my sister's Ouse for a good friend. We are having fajitas. My cooking is done. I have to go unload a pickup full of tables, chairs and needed items later this morning. Ben has to go grill the chicken fajita meat and put it in the warmer. We will come home, get ready and have to be back at 4:00 to set up.

Tomorrow is SS and church and then CABI clothing party in the afternoon. I have to work Mon- Thursday this week, so no resting Monday!

I am awake but still laying in bed. We drove to Shreveport last night, will be here till Sunday. Gambling is our plan for the day.

It IS still morning barely that is.  LOL  I've already done 3 loads of laundry....went to a support group breakfast and I'm about to start cleaning my house.   I am the only one home....son is at church 30 Hr. Famine......hubby took his mom to WinStar.   So I'm about to mop the floor and vacumn.    Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Took the girls to the Discovery Science Place in Tyler.  They had a blast interacting with the exhibits etc.  They go back to their rightful owners tomorrow!

Happy Sunday, family! I sure INTENDED to board the train yesterday..and all last week...yea...I'm a loser...but an honest one..

Stupid headache stole the majority of my day yesterday. I did manage to attend a friend's grandson's bday party, then hit a store to get Madi and I matching "bling" shoes..silver Bob's for me/cheaper ones for her..MY feet aren't going to be a different size next week! Then I came home and gave in to the headache..just hate the stupid things...

Today will be meeting TRACEY for lunch, then going to see another friend. I haven't any T-time--outside a hospital setting--in over 2 weeks--way too long...

I had my 11th surgiversary this past Monday (the 22nd)...it has become such a way of life, that it is ALMOST hard to recall any other way..but I never WANT to forget how physically miserable I was becoming, or take for granted the blessing I was given...

This was Madi's TGIF picture. It was barely after 6am, and she was already laughing at some goofy dance I was doing..it's so nice to be appreciated for my TALENT..She is not a "touchy/feely" kid, but her mom's dad said he noticed she has gotten more affectionate the past couple of months...I told him it's because I MAKE her kiss and hug..She gotten to where she FINALLY will initiate the contact with others-and will KISS, instead of BITE..slow progress...

Morning folks. Headed it church in a bit. Had a successful party for our friends last night for about 100 folks.

Livingston's and the Aggies Dustin Harris was picked up last night by the Cowboys, so we were all so happy for him. He was Ben's roommate last year. He is a good guy and fast and sports talented. His parents are friends of mine and his entire family is so nice. They are good people and hard working. His brother and sister are college athletes also.

Have a CABI clothing party this afternoon and then hopefully some rest.

KARLA-Congrats to Dustin Harris--knew he was an Aggie--didn't know he was from Livingston--and SURE didn't know he had been Ben's roomie! How proud his parents must be !!

Is he going to hook you up with some tickets and parking passes? 

That is always a possibility,Don. Since Ben graduated last year, he missed getting to go with his friends and roommates to NYC when Johnny Manziel gotthe Heisman and he had to miss the "wait on the draft call" gathering at Dusitins Friday and Saturday. He planned on going until I reminded him we had this party yesterday. Poor baby boy!
