Hugs and Blessings to all of you that are about to have surgery ♥ I'm day 6 out of surgery. Made 7 hour road trip home on day 4 and all went well. I'm feeling really great today. First day that I've had the house all to myself. Family all at work. Only Daisy, Callie (my two dogs) and I are here. Feels sorta good to have time without anyone hovering over me. I'm able drink more than the nutritionist said in my training, and was worried that I would stretch my sleeve. However I just called her and she assured me that it was okay. She said some people can just tolerate more than others and to not worry. Said to drink all i could tolerate. What have y'all's nutritionists said about intake at day 6?   Example: I drank a whole 11 oz Premier Protein shake without any bubbles or pain within 15-20 minutes. Is that normal?  Can it cause leaks? Stretching of sleeve? Thanks SO MUCH for your input and thanks to all of you who have sent "Well Wishes" and prayers.           Susie

Glad you are doing well. I didn't have a sleeve, but if you are concerned about drinking too much too fast, just slow down a bit. I would think if it would harm you the nurse wouldn't have told you it was ok. That is a good bit to be able to drink that quickly less than a week after surgery, but everyone is different. I'm sure you will be fine.

Hi Susie,

Glad to see you posting.    Glad to see you doing so well.  I'm with Karla.....I personally would slow down.   I know my surgery was different than yours but I was drinking only 2 oz. every 30 minutes if I remember correctly.    But as Karla said...everyone is different and all surgeon's tell you something different.   You have a good surgeon...so go by what he says.    If you get a feeling like you've overeaten...then slow it down some.    Glad again to see you posting and feeling so well.    Take care and please take things slow.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian
