Is it possible to lose all the extra weight with a sleeve? What is the normal loss after one month, two months, etc? What are the things you've read or heard from Vet sleevers that have been really successful?  I'm 53 yrs old and am a bit worried about not being able to lose the pounds.

TEXAS FRIENDS - arrived in Frisco tonight around 6 and have been in the car since 9:45 this morning - long story. I'm pooped and have pre-op junk tomorrow starting @ 8 a.m. - leaving hotel @ 7 - traveling to Denton & then back to hospital in Frisco for 1:30 hospital junk :-). Check into hospital @ 7a.m. on Wednesday morning - surgery @ 10 a.m. Thanks so much, y'all, for the sweet messages and posts. There's NO PLACE like TEXAS. Love & Hugs......Susie

Susie.....I feel you are stressing about this.   Trust me...it WILL be OK.   I know many sleevers who lost ALL their weight in fact some IMHO are TOO THIN.    My advice from the sleevers I know who have lost all their weight......measure your food ( when you start eating solids.   Most do about 1/2 to 3/4 cup per meal.   Try not to eat unless it is planned eating.   Log your foods and exercise everyday even if it's just walking.     DO NOT go to junk food...sweets, chips, and high calorie junk food after your surgery.   if you stay away from those things and measure your food you will do wonderful.   I will help you all I can to make your journey successful.    Don't let fear rob you of your joy of having this amazing surgery.    I WILL be OK.   Remember the numbers the doctors offices give you on weight loss is just stastics....not facts on everyone.   Also word of advice....DO NOT compare your weight loss with that of other sleevers.    We ALL lose at a different pace and our bodies are ALL different.    Look at the whole picture....what matters is that you loose the weight not how fast or slow it comes off.    It will be OK my friend I promise.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

You know that it is just a tool. You are in charge of how much you lose, for the most part. Sleevers seem to have to strictly limit their calories (600-800) to lose it all, but it is possible. After you get to goal, as with any surgery, you will have to decided how much effort you want to put forth to stay there.
