Advice for a new Sleever??

VSG on 04/03/13

I'm scheduled for VSG on 4-3-2013. Any suggestions for this newbie besides drink drink drink? Thanks for your help.

Susie...be sure to bring bed pillows to place around the seatbelt so that you will be comfortable on your ride home, they will also protect your incissions from any sudden movement in the car. Bring protein powder or pre made shakes. Sorry it's late & I can't think of many more things tonight. I will be talking to you soon.

Take some Chapstick to the hospital. Your lips will probably be really dry after surgery until they let you start getting in liquids. It helps a lot. Take a robe and horseshoes that are easy to get into for walking the halls after surgery.

Toothbrush and paste! They didn't let me eat or drink anything for a long time after my surgery but I COULD brush my teeth (go figure). It was sooo nice to get that anesthesia taste out of my mouth.
