I'M GOING TO BE NONNY60 ( SUZIE'S ) OH ANGEL NEXT WEEK.

Well.....I volunteered to be Susie ( Nonny60 ) OH Angel for next week.    I know we haven't had OH Angels in quite sometime now and I have NO idea why people stopped asking for this but OH mentioned this to us ( support group leaders ) a while back about getting it started up again.   I am honored to have Susie accept my offer.   SO I will be updating everyone next week on her after she has her surgery.    I am thrilled about doing this again.    So please leave Susie a message here if you will wishing her well on her upcoming VSG.

Hi, Vivian!  What exactly is an OH Angel and what do you all do?

A OH Angel is a person who offers to support and encourage someone who is about to have their WLS.   The Angel stays in contact with the person having WLS's family during the surgery and after and posts on the message boards how they are doing after the surgery.    I go beyond that when I volunteer....I usually keep in touch with the person for several weeks asking if there are questions that they have that maybe I can help them with....giving them advice as far as protein powders and other things.    That is what I do.   A OH Angel though is only required to find out how the person is doing  at the time of surgery and posting that info on the message boards.

I used to love being an angel..haven't done it in years..my bad...For local peeps I would visit them, in the hospital-about the time that "OMG-what the **** have I done to myself" feeling sets in...I'd always give them a personal electric blender and some pkts of protein samples. I KNOW it'd been awhile cuz the last blender I gifted someone with was under $10, and the type model I bought myself, last week, to use at work, cost $14.99..

VIVIAN--you have the "gift" of angelhood..SUSIE is very luckyto have you. I mean that sincerely :)
