Tuesday WLS Zephyr - All Aboard!!

OH gremlins not allowing me to put a picture in this thread.

80th birthday gathering and trip over to Lake Charles were enjoyable and well within tolerances.  Park had tree house/climbing thing that granddaughters had fun playing on.  I had not been in or near Lake Charles in many years, '97 I think, and was awestruck at how the storms of recent past had rearranged the landscaping!  Except for one damaged parking garage the motels/hotels I remember being there are not anymore.

The scales are still not wanting to show me my digits.  May have to put it on there with White-out.  Y'all remember that stuff?  Can you still even buy carbon paper?

Go Forth but dress warmly!  Thought I could put the long handles away for another year but probably ought to break out a pair for this morning!

 

Good Morning Don and TMB Family,

I know I'm up earlier than I have been since time changed but I thought others would have posted already.   Maybe everyone is sleeping in since it's cold outside.   Brrr...it is COLD !!!!   I'm so ready for some warmer weather...not hot just warmer.  LOL  This afternoon I'm going to go look at a apartment with my middle son.   He's planning on moving out next month which to be honest is kind of scaring me.    BUT I think he will be OK.   This will be the first time he has ever had his OWN apartment by himself.   I know he is so excited....probably more about getting out from under my roof.   LOL    Sorry....I am a strict Mom and don't matter the age....you live under my roof you follow MY rules.   LOL    Hope the apartment is a nice one.    Not too far so that is good.     I'm looking forward to spending family time this weekend with my entire family.    Haven't seen my sister's kids and grandkids in a while and I know my great nieces and nephews will LOVE seeing Tigerlily.   She's SO much fun now at her age.    Have a great day everyone.

Long and busy day at work plus some unplanned exercise yesterday. When I left work I walked to parking lot and could not find my car then realized I parked on the other side of the building so got my walking in for the day.

Back to my normal routine today.

Good morning !! Waving arms and running to catch up (as if I COULD actually run and wave my arms at the same time)...I have a new work schedule now, and have to "open" at work, which means 6am, so I leave the house at 5:30am. I'm not quite "in the groove" yet, so I'm scared to let myself open the laptap and "get lost" in it..ya know? I'm home, on break, now, so the train is the first place I came. I missed y'all. Posting from my phone IS an option, but I'm running my guts from the minute I get there.My Madi met me at the door at 5:50, and my 6:30 I already had 4 munchins, trying to much my legs, wanting EAT EAT EAT !!

DON--what time do you normally rev up the train? Maybe if I KNOW I only have 5 minutes I can sign in right before I scoot out the door. I truly WANT to be a faithful sibling...Your weekend report sounds GREAT!

VIVIAN--hope the apt hunting goes well. If he is getting an apt, I'm guessing he has gotten a job. I have not been keeping up well. Am so happy in Shawn's positive turnaround..

Y'all remember beautful Lynnette? She put together a quick dinner get together this past Sunday...was SOOOOOOOOO good to see her...I think it had actually been 2 YEARS since I had seen her, in person..that's a crying shame...We all vowed to do better...

Guess I had better grab my PLANNED lunch, eat it and get myself back out the door..Hope all of you are having a TERRIFIC Tuesday !

Good evening. Running behind this morning, so no train time until now. It was a busy day, but slower pace than some days. Got home around 5:00, which is great. This been as late as 7:45 pm and that is too late!

I am looking forward to a weekend with family for our annual crawfish boil/ Easter egg hunt. I have to get stuffing on the eggs Thursday or Friday. I've had my stuff, just need to get money for them and put it together.
