Thankful for: EGD completed. Surgery Date Set.
Okay, y'all , I'm one thankful lady - Just got home from having EGD (scope) done @ 5:30 this morning, so not going to post much. Still a bit groggy and about to go rest. Decided yesterday to go ahead and do what my heart was telling me and wait until April so I can travel to her house in Dallas at the end of February and March for 4-5 days each time. She really wants me to be there to help her with the new baby, her toddler and house work for these first three months. So, that's what I'm gonna do. I know some of you thought I should go ahead with my surgery at the end of this month/or first of March, but I think my decision to postpone surgery is the wisest more considerate decision for Everyone involved.
I called yesterday and scheduled DS surgery, with Dr. Stewart, for Wednesday, April 3rd. I'm excited and scared at the same time. Thanks for all the connections you can give me for DS. I live in the Lubbock area and have already connected with several of you OH guys. God has put some extra special surprise connections in my path over this last month. I'm SO thankful for three extra PRECIOUS OH people, Brenda, Vivian, and Darlene. They have gone out of their way to give positive support and advise. The others that have been placed by God to help me are: Amy Pope, from my cardiologist's office that had DS done by Dr. Syn, here in Lubbock a year ago, and an additional person that Brenda connected me to here in Lubbock - Jean, head of LADS - Lubbock Area D S. I will be getting as much info as possible from them. BUT.....sure appreciate and cherish ANY & ALL support & information you might have. There's no such thing as TOO much information. Thanks y'all. Have a great week and wonderful Valentines Day with your loved ones.
Excited but a little bit scared
Susie
Susie....I am SO thrilled that you now have a "new surgery date". Don't be afraid....remember fear is NOT of God. I know when I got the call with my surgery date I was a little bit scared too. I then asked God to replace that fear with joy. I want to tell you I don't think my feet hit the ground after that prayer. Even the morning of surgery I had nothing but excitement and the joy of the Lord. I'm so happy that your going to get to spend some time with you daughter 2 precious grandbabies. Trust me they are VERY important to us and we need all the little hugs we can get from them. I look forward to visiting with you more and getting to know you on your WLS journey. Hang in there April 3rd will be here before you turn around. Have a blessed evening.
Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian
GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE; COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN; AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!! THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.
