We survived the Holiday without too much damage on the scales!  Ate too much and did not get any exercise in but this is a new week.

Met the parents in Centerville yesterday to give them the grandkids back and the traffic on I-45 was HORRIBLE!!  Called Mom asking if her sig other had left yet to come home and he hadn't.  Told her to tell him to spend another night.  Because of an two accidents north of Centerville people were cutting across the grass to the service road.  On the way back the wrecks had both been cleared but because of the back up they were still cutting across the grass!!  It was nuts!!

Picked the Polar Express since that is where we will be this Saturday.

Go forth and have a Great Day!!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Good morning,

Had a good Thanksgiving and been enjoying the extra time off but will have  go back to work tomorrow since we did not win the lottery, plan to try again on Wednesday.

Today I had planned to do some shopping  since I really didn't do any this weekend but BIL texted DH last night that he was going go out of town for a week and his wife cant take care of her cause her Dad has cancer and had to run him to appointments so he needs DH to watch his mother this week.
Excuse me we both work and could you not have asked sooner?  I think they assume since I work from home I can take care of her but she has Alzheimer's and in final stages of liver failure and  I don't know if I can get my work done and take care of her, plus I have to go into office Wednesday to do some training.
Even tho short notice we figured out a game plan.
Since  I don't go back to work till tomorrow they are suppose to drop her off this morning  so I can take care of her today and his sister and niece will take her the rest of the week. I  hope I can handle it as I don't have caregiver skills and I feel uncomfortable telling her not to do stuff but at least I will find out how much care and attention she will need in case there is days I have to work and be caregiver.

Going to try to go back to sleep before she gets here as I suspect it will be a long stressful day.

Have a great day!

SAUNDRA-you are right-some notice would have been alot better--or ALOT of notice even better than that ! Is your MIL in latter stages of Alzheimer's? Does she recognize you and your house? Don't feel badly about "telling her what to do" if it is needed to keep her, and your belongings, safe. "Watching" an adult who has a dementia disease is like watching a large, active toddler-it's difficult to take your eyes off them...but SHE is still "in there", somewhere.

Hope your day goes well

Good morning, family !

Do we REALLY have to go back to work today??? I haven't done 1/4 of the stuff I had "am fixin' to do" for the weekend. We got the space for the tree all cleared and ready-but the tree is still in the box..in the garage...sigh..Last year I procratinated so long I never put any decorations up..the totes never got unpacked, and the totes never even made it back up, into the attic...I am determined to NOT let that happen this year!!!

Today's agenda is mostly work/work/work. Those babies have been away for 4 days, being kissed and squished by who knows who, so it will take a day or 2 to love them back into "shape" and their routine...

Hope everyone has an easy time of getting back on track, and into their healthy routines today!

Good Morning Everyone,

So glad that Thanksgiving is over and I will be tossing out all the Thanksgiving leftovers today.    I'm looking forward to getting rid of that.   LOL  I really need to make a run to Walmart for cat food.   i didn't go to Walmart nor any other store ( except Target ) during the Thanksgiving holiday.    Can't believe my support group meeting is this weekend and that Christmas is less than 4 weeks away.    This year has flown by very quickly.    Hope everyone has a great day and drives safely...kids go back to school today.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

As always, I'm late boarding the train!  Our Thanksgiving was nice and quite.  Just DH, my college niece & her boyfriend.  So I didn't have to cook for an army this year.  Baked a ham, since I can tolerate ham better than turkey & it's my niece's favorite.  Plus, didn't have to worry about dressing & gravy, that I didn't need to eat!  Only had a couple of deserts and sent most of that back to college with Victoria.  I worked Friday and Saturday, so getting back to work today wasn't any different than any other Monday.  I did get my grandaughter's Christmas present yesterday at ToysRus.  Wish I was finished with everyone else!  But Bella comes first!!!  Well, I hope everyone has a great day.
