Congratulations on your weight loss. Glad you are feeling better. Nothing unusual to feel like crap for a week or 2 or even 3-4. You had major surgery - anesthesia does wierd things to our bodies.
Enjoy that morning walk !! Walking is the key here at the beginning.
STAY HYRDRATED......SIP SIP SIP...
- Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose. Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email. I'll answer it as soon as possible.

Let me repeat what everyone else has said....that is a AWESOME weight loss !!! SO proud of you...keep up the great work. I too am glad your feeling much better. I think it took me months before i felt really great after my WLS and had energy. Sounds like your doing exceptionally well. Remember if your walking outside to take a cold bottle of water with you and don't over do it. Keep up the amazing work your doing and have a great weekend.

ROSE-sorry for the delayed response. I was trying to make myself have a "no-computer" weekend, and be closer to God, and get projects done around here. Everything got "done" that needed to be done, so I gave myself a little "techno time"!
It sounds like you are RAWK-ing! One word of caution, though..yea..there's a mommy finger/left eyebrow raiser in every group...please DO pace yourself and don't over do it..Week 3 seems to be when alot of people kinda "crash and burn"..severe fatigue sets in-and often there is limited-or even NO weight loss for a week or two, and peeps freak out, thinking they are a "failure", or that they have done something "wrong"..I'm just cautioning you ahead of time-it may not even happen to YOU..I attribute the common occurance as much to the anesthesia, as to anything else, because I have seen it post surgery in many, many patients-with ALL kinds os surgery-not just weight loss..but the walking, you are doing, is the PERFECT exercise--just start slowly-and STOP before you are truly too tired-esp in this first post op month..
Thank you, SO MUCH, for sharing with us. I look forward to riding our "train" every day (the WLS Express), and getting to know you better!!

We Can Do Hard Things
Thank you for this. I actually read it, hurriedly earlier, but am just now getting to a place where I could respond. As a REALTOR, I tend to have a hustle bustle kind of lifestyle. In the past several months, I have purposely made myself s-l-o-w down and become a little more structured, so that I could start to enjoy a bit of a personal life as well. Let's just say,"It's a work in progress!"
I needed this when I re-read it this just now. I haven't lost anymore weight. In fact I may have gained a pound. I feel as though I have done what my post op instructions indicated, and so, I was beginning to wonder what was going on with my body and my new sleeve? After reading your message, I assume I am one of those that is just going to have to get through this stage. I guess I should schedule very lightly for the next couple of weeks, so there is time for rest. I need to avoid crashing & burning, at all costs.
Thanks for your gentle, yet firm admonishion. I'm sure I needed it, and may need it again, so I want to thank you for taking your time to give to this forum.
I look forward to getting to know you.
