Memorial Day WLS Express
Good morning, ALISSA, and all ! It's a regular work day for me. I had the option of working at home, but would have had to lug a bunch of stuff home, to do so. I moved out of the "community bull pen" Friday, and into my own office space, meaning I have some "nesting" to do, so today will be the perfect time to do that, with very few-if any-other people there. Tomorrow morning we have to hit the ground running-with the roll out of the new software-so the quicker I get adapted, all the better...
I went to the Burleson cemetary-where my dad is, and put flags on the graves, of the veterans I know. There is a larger ceremony planned for today, but, of course, I can't be there, so I tried to my very small part yesterday. I did it last weekend, in Waco, for my PawPaw, and the other WWII vets I could find, around him.
Many, many prayers and more gratitude than I have the words for, for all our service men and women, past present and future-and their families-for their unselfish giving!!!

DON-it's actually kinda nice. I've been here for nearly 3 hrs, and I'm still in the only one here, in the whole bldg. I haven't done a lick of real "work" yet. I've been hanging pictures, and "nesting". I figure I'm at work WAY more waking hrs than I am anywhere else, so may as well make it my "happy place". If they want to fire me, they'll have to give a month's notice, so I can pack my "stuff"..
Saw lots of American flags, along the highways, and in front of businesses this morning. Wish they would be there EVERY day..but guess we might not even NOTICE them then..
You said Jan starts new job tomorrow-still as a BN?
