LA Cage Aux Folles

I think I may be the only night owl on this forum.  We traveled yesterday from San Antonio to Ft Worth and then stayed up late so I slept in this morning.  I think we took the long way from Abilene to S.A.  on Saturday.  We got a late start because my digestive system wasn't happy.
We went through several towns that I want to go back to and shop.  Marble Falls looks pretty.  We went to Mass Sunday morning and then the subject Broadway.   St. Mary's was right out the front door of our hotel in San Antonio.  It is a beautiful church.  After our Broadway show we took a stroll along the River Walk.  I planned to walk the entire path but the body said no.  There were a lot of folks with the same plan on Mother's Day so it wasn't as pleasant as our past visits.  Now we are in Ft Worth until Friday.  Then it's home to start the graduation marathon with our granddaughter that has been living with us the past 17 months.  She will be a future theater major so perhaps we'll get to see her on Broadway one day.  We love Broadway and theater.  We have renewed our season tickets in Dallas at the AT&T Performance Hall.  It is fairly new so we got in good seats the first year.  I think we paid $700 all together.   We gave up our seats last year because of having our granddaughter with us.  We didn't want it to interfere with her high school theater events.  Plus my husband and granddaughter helped teach religious education this past year.  Anyway, when I called to see if we could get our seats back or near the price is now $3,000 for those two seats.  Thus, we moved up to the balcony and hope we have good seats on the second row.  I'm sure we'll still enjoy the shows.  It is so much fun for us to make this trip out of town and enjoy ourselves.  Food wise I have done great on our trip.  I usually just share a plate with my husband.  We are going to the Silver Fox for our 37th wedding anniversary dinner on Thursday.  We've never been so hopefully it lives up to the reviews.  On the main RNY forum some said they were going to a meet and greet in Las Vegas this weekend.  That sounds like fun.  Would be nice if we could get something going  like this for us Texans.

I think Alissa is planning a dinner in June sometime not sure where but i would guess the Ft Worth.

There is always some of us up to meeting another fellow OHer.    So if you want to meet some of us while you are in Ft. Worth just say and we can meet.   I'm sure I am not the only one that would be willing to meet you.   I am a homemaker so I can meet you anytime if you want.    Where are you staying in Ft. Worth?   I live in N. Richland Hills.   Have a great visit here in the DFW area.

Darn it ... I read the post to late to respond.   John finished up class just before noon Friday and we ran by Sam's Club near Richland Hills.   It wasn't far from the Fossil Creek Homewood Suites where we had been staying since Monday night.  I'll be glad when the construction projects are complete.  They seem to be always where we are going nowadays in DFW.  (The Grapevine area is another area we frequent.)  We went to the Silver Fox for our anniversary Thursday night on S. University and didn't find it all that great.   I shopped all day Wednesday.  I love World Market and Marshalls since we don't have the two stores.  I'll keep in mind that I now have potential new girlfriends in the area when John has assignments or meetings and would love to meet you.  Same goes if you ever come to Abilene.
