Thursday WLS Express
My sister that lives in PA that has bipolar is really struggling right now with anxiety attacks, so prayers would be greatly appreciated. She had one at a patient's home (she's a hospice nurse) and was really upset that she had to leave their house, even though she was pretty much done with the visit. That was Monday and she's had such severe ones after that she's not been to work since. Her psych upped her medication so I'm hoping that kicks in soon for her and helps. I hate it that she's having so much trouble. And, my mom is really sick with a respiratory infection so she cannot go to help out and she feels bad about that. One more reason we should all live in 1 state. lol.
Hope everyone has a great day today!!
Good morning, ALISSA and all!
Yesterday went as well as expected...still scary. Everyone was very nice..I was thrilled when a nurse I worked with years ago came in and surprised me. She has heard a "redhead named Gina was coming to work", and said she had hoped and prayed "it was the Gina I used to know"..that REALLY helped..it's been at least 5 yrs since I saw this nurse. We never real close friends, but it was SO nice to see a familair face-and she's fairly new there, so I think she felt the same way! I did the "orientation" stuff yesterday-no work-but got an idea of the "mess" stuff is in-and WHY they needed me, so at least I can feel needed/wanted-right? I met the owner of the company, and already set up a lunch meeting with one of the physicians I know, to possibly come be a medical director, so the owner is happy. As I told him: "You don't get to be this old without knowing people!".
Thank y'all for all the good wishes and prayers yesterday-they were FELT-and truly, truly helped !!
Prayers for travel, for VIVIAN, today and tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be beautiful. I hope the visit and trip to Sea World go really, really well..Don't worry about the wound on Shawn's face. He's a tough guy-he can make up some cool story to explain the scar someday-way cooler than a flying tire (something like a jealous husband..or saving a small child from a charging rhino)...
ALISSA-if your parents return to Tx, will your sister come too-or iss her life there, in PA? Is her husband from there? Hope she feels more like herself soon...
I keep thinking today is Tuesday, since my work week did not start until yesterday...so confusing...I have a full weekend planned, so will be grateful for the short week, no doubt..
Hope everyone has the BEST Thursday ever!!!

Gina: So glad that yesterday went "okay" for ya. First days are always scary no matter how old we get or how many times we've been there done that !! lol Those "childhood" feelings always come out in all of us in sooooooooo many ways.
Alissa - prayers for your family and your sis.........that has to be a horrible feeling and not really know what to do from a distance and then the feelings she is probably going through. I just can't imagine ((( (huggss and prayers to all)))))
My plans for the weekend:
Sat am - laundry and cleaning house
Sat pm - water excercises - swimming at a local indoor pool with a friend for excercise (it really helped my knee last week and I'm going to plan on doing that every week (hopefully trying to fit in a Sunday visit too)
Sat pm - later - card/game night at church.....tacos is the theme. I'm planning on taking a crockpot of rotel cheese dip w/ hamb meat and chips..........that always goes over well..
Sun am - church
sun early pm - hopefully squeezing in lunch - water excercises
Sun PM - Rangers game - 5pm - til whenever I need to head to bed !! lol
( I have a funny feeling I"m really gonna hate Monday morning in soooo many ways) but I'm looking forward to time with friends........ITS WAYYYY OVERDUE !!
