Looking for anyone who had PS and had the full tummy tuck covered by insurance.  I'm having trouble finding a surgeon who will do the surgery - even if approved by insurance.  please let me know who you used and your experience.  Thanks!!

You might tell people the area in which you live so people from that area can giive you advice.

Since you are from my area, I recommend Dr. David Wainwright with UT Physicians. He is less expensive than some popular plastic surgeons that he trained. He did my surgeries and did a great job. I would recommend staying in our local area. I promise you will not feel like traveling. You would have to stay near your surgeon for a couple of weeks, if not a month due to needing to go in for checkups, to get drains out, etc. if there is an issue you don't want to be several hours away.

I have a friend who used a Dr. gordly who is closer to Conroe or The Woodlands I believe.

If you need contact info I'll be glad to look it up.

Thanks Karla, I saw in your signature line that you used Dr. Wainwright - I already scheduled a consultation, but it's not until mid May:(.  Oh well, I rather go with someone I'm comfortable with who I can afford.  Do you know where he does his surgeries?

Thanks!!

Part of where he does them depends on if insurance pays, I believe. I had to self pay for all of mine. I had lipo and my breast lift/ arms at a surgery center right next to the Medical Center. I had my LBL at Memorial Hermann surgery Center, directly across from Hermann. Both were good. His office is off of the South Loop. I love his nurse Chelsea, too. I assume she still works for him.

Don't let anyone talk you into giving blood for yourself. They had me do that and my iron dropped and I got kicked out of 2 surgery days due too a low iron level. I had to get iron shots to build it up and wait 3 months for surgery.

good luck!
