BC/Bs Federal of Texas
I was wondering if anyone has BC/BS Federal Health Plan of Texas (Basic Option) I have been seeing Dr. Nelish A. Patel from texas Bariatric Specialists in the Killeen, Texas Office for my fills. I was told that . I called the Dr. and he is in the health paln a participating provider which was wonderful, now after haveing two claims denied by the health plan reason the Dr. and Office is not a perferred provider, when in fact the Office does tell me that they are. I know that he goes under different business names and NPI numbers and to be sure I use the right one in order to be covered, this I explained to the dr.s Office prior to seeing him and I was assured tha they will be sure to bill accordinally Ok no problem back then. Now I am told that the Devika Surgical Assoicates/Texas bariatric Specialists are not in the health plan. Has anyone had any problems like this? or do you know the other names they do business under I called his billing office and no one called me back. BC/BS said that tey need to know the DBA names and all the NPI numbers. can someone help me.
