Morning all. I hit snooze and was about to hit it a second time but then thought no, I'd best just get up. Darn responsible me took over. lol.
BIG PRAYERS FOR AMANADA AND GINNY TODAY!!!

Gina- I agree with Jovi- freedom means more than $ to me as well.

Karla- how exciting for you to do something different and earn $ at the same time. That will help a lot I'm sure.

Saundra-how's the dog? I didn't even know they had eye specialists for dogs!

Vivian- my sisters all had girls and I LOVE buying girl clothes! Its so much fun! Now that Sophia and Maya are older I take them to Justice because my sister doesn't like it and I love it.

Anne- I'm glad you are better. I know its tempting to do things but don't- just rest and get better. You'll be down longer if you overdo it and injur yourself or interfere with the healing.

Jovi- will ask where my SIL did her online degree from- I don't know.

I'm doing a disability awareness/sensitivity training all afternoon at a company up in this area. They do assembly and cell phone refurbishing. This is our third time out there as they want all managers to go through this training. They have 3 locations right in this area. Our team consists of someone who talks about deaf/hard of hearing, myself to talk about blindness, and then someone that covers the rest of the disabilities. I've got some fun activities planned for them to do under blindfold.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Alissa, when I worked at Commission for the Blind (DARS - Blind Services Division??? Can't ever remember what it's called), I really had fun with training at Criss Cole.  I particularly remember making peanut butter sandwiches under blindfold.  What a mess!

And by the way, from your posts, I'm guessing that's where you work; forgive me if I've got it wrong!

Good morning, ALISSA and all!

Monday was..well..a Monday...too uber busy..didn't get everything done that I needed to get done, so some of my "Monday list" is boiling over to my "Tuesday list"...but..that's WHY I MAKE LISTS..cuz I don't want to forget to do stuff...

Today I need to give an "answer" to the new job offer..kinda leaves a pit in my gut, but am 98% sure I need to decline...just doesn't feel "right"..I have until noon..

Extra special prayers for AMANDA M and GINNY Y on their WLSs today. May their surgeries go effortlessly and their recoveries be as painless as possible! They both have great support systems-which all know will make all the difference in the world! I am so excited for both of them!!!!!

Corbin and I are "getting back to the track", starting this evening. I haven't been "religious" about walking/running since I tore a muscle during that last 1/2 marathon, in Dec, but that has been healed, for awhile now, and I HAVE to stop using it as an EXCUSE. Corbin has a street route mapped out, if there are too many lil soccer kids at the local track. he is so much more disciplined than I am, and will hold my feet to the fire (literally!). TRACEY and LORALEA want to start some Princess crew walks, on the weekends, too-so looks like I'm going to HAVE to get off my hind quarters!

Speaking of hind quarters..best get up off mine now..

Hope everyone has a TERRIFIC TUESDAY!!! Hope to be getting some updates on our "surgery sisters"!

We Can Do Hard Things

 Good morning,

Trying to get myself mentally ready to start working.  Back-to-back meetings on my calendar today so a lot of multitasking will be going on today but that's no different than any other day.  Need to run to get some cash as I'm sure the lawn man will be here today plus my niece will be here to clean the house today.

DH Took dog to the specialist yesterday, they put lens or something in his eye.  He has to wear one of those halos around his neck for two weeks.

Guess I better move across the hall and get to work
Prayers for those having surgery today that all goes well

Have a great day

Sitting here waiting for the social security office to call me. I found out if you claim to live too far from the office, you can do things by phone. Since it is 150 miles round trip to the nearest one - I was able to request a phone interview.
That said, this afternoon I am going to go to the library with my driver and get some more books. I have class tomorrow night and hope that I can sit through it.
Fixing to go eat some yogurt.....

I'm bringing up the rear - guess I'm the caboose?  Have had a really busy day, and it looks like the rest of the week is shaping up to be the same.
My 17-y.o. senior in high school (who has declined to learn to drive! ) wanted to go to DPS to get his ID; took TWO HOURS+!  And when we went in, it wasn't all that crowded.  I really wanted to go up and make a little noise, but I'm trying to learn not to fight my son's battles.  Grrrr. . .

Anyhow, then we picked up his graduation announcements, at which time I shed a tear or two.  My older son (29) didn't graduate - got his GED - so this graduation means a lot to dh and me.  Younger son is planning on starting at TAMU-CC in the fall, too, so we're all beyond excited.

We ate out for lunch, and even though I didn't eat as well as I should have, I did exercise restraint, so I was kind of proud of myself.  Of course, I brought all my uneaten food home, and it's now calling to me, even though I intended on just a protein shake!

Thursday and Friday, I go for stress test/nuclear medicine, so I'll spend my day taxiing dh and son to school, getting my tests done, then picking them up.  Ugh.  When I'm the taxi, it seems like that's all I get done!

That about wraps it up from here in South Texas!
