 Good Morning Everyone,

I am with everyone else...where did our weekend go?  Gee.....as far as that goes....where did Jan, Feb, and now March go?   LOL  Guess that is a sign of getting older or at least that is what my Momma use to say.    I HAVE to get my tax stuff together today and try to get a appointment to get them done.   UGH I hate doing this.    I got a phone call from my Teen Challenge son yesterday and he sounds SO good !!!  I am so happy for him.   I will be headed that way in about a month.    Today is my hubby's 60th birthday.    He took off at lunch time last night and came home.    I can't belive we are getting so OLD !!!  UGH....but I am NOT quite as old as he is.   LOL   Please pray for my hubby;s family.   My MIL lost her twin sister yesterday to kidney failure.     Her viewing will be friday and saturday the funeral.    Please keep me in your prayers too.   My hip/ leg is getting better but it still hurts like heck and I am still having problems sitting for long periods of time.    Prayers for Amanda and Ginny as they start their WLS journey's tomorrow.   If nothing happens I am going to go sit with Jack and Phyllis.    Have a blessed and safe day and Yeah.....I'm having a GRAND DAUGHTER !!!  WOO HOO !!!

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE;   COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN;  AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!!    THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.

Vivian:  Congrats on the granddaughter!

Alisa:  Safe travels this week.

Saundra:  They are our "fur children" and we will do what we have to for them!

Karla:  Enjoy the dental convention.

Gina:  Money is not everything.  It does not buy happiness but it may rent it for a spell!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Good Morning All!!

The weekend did go by so quickly...

Well, I envy you guys. lol I want to go back to work. But we decided when my son was born that I'd stay home for a while, us moving to a new state & all. I've been thinking about going back to school, I'm an LVN now, but I would love to be an RN & finish my business degree. Yes different fields..lol

Today will be a Scentsy day for me, post office, catalogs, labels, samples!! And of course cleaning up my sons room, bathroom. And calling around for someone to redo our closet. We had a pipe bust a couple weeks back & finally the insurance finished our claim & looking for someone to close things up, pain & put in a carpet. Fun, fun, fun!!

Enjoy your day everyone!!

JOVI-or do you go by JOVANY? I want to call you by your preferred name...I would LOVE to meet you, IRL, some time-we really need to arrange it!!

I have been an LVN for 34+ years. While I have always LOVED my profession, and NEVER been without a job, if I had ONE regret in my life, it would be not finishing my education. There was always something happening--divorce/pregnancy/lack of time/lack of $$/just always some "excuse". I truly encourage to  get more "titles", while you are young enough to earn/use them.

It has been so nice to see you posting!

I go by both...lol Jovi is fine.

Sounds great in meeting!! Before going to school I worked at a hospital for 3 1/2 years on a Cardiology floor, loved it. Learned so much about the heart. And monitoring the rhythems I've been an LVN for 5 years, only worked two 1/2 of those years back home in Ohio, but did transfer my lisence here & continue on my CE's. I def. want to do it, keeping my options open. Congrats on being an LVN that long, lots of experience there!!

Thanks for the encouragement!!

I do enjoy this group, so close to home :)

I am alive.......I can say that finally. Hysterectomy went well and my husband is the most wonderful caretaker. Starting to feel bad for doing nothing around the house. (And I admit that when he does something other then the way I do it - I tend to get irritated....)
Has been a good bonding experience for us!
And, I think not being able to eat much for a week or so has helped wake up my "tool".
